Ubisoft opened a sign-up page for its rumored battle royale game Hyper Scape and confirmed the game's official reveal date. Information about the new Ubisoft game leaked as sources revealed that the multiplayer title would offer cross-platform play.

Earlier today, Ubisoft's battle royale game Hyper Scape leaked, with sources revealing that the game is codenamed "Prisma Dimensions." Ubisoft has now launched a site using that codename, which can be found at prismadimensions.com. The site doesn't feature any gameplay information but it does confirm that Hyper Scape will be officially revealed on July 2, 2020.

It's unclear just how deep that Hyper Scape reveal will go. Ubisoft does have its own E3 replacement event, called Ubisoft Forward, planned for July 12 which is just 10 days later. This could mean that Ubisoft will just show a shorter gameplay trailer and announce closed beta sign-ups as rumored before showing more gameplay at the Ubisoft Forward event. It's also rumored that Hyper Scape will be fully released on July 12 and so the dates all seem to line-up.

There is a small bit of Prisma Dimensions lore to keep fans entertained while they wait for the full Hyper Scape reveal. Prisma Dimensions CEO Dr. Ivy Tan has used "direct neural stimulation" technology and has turned it into "the world’s leading multinational technology, media, and service company." The company's next product is something called the Hyper Scape, which features a "virtual city" called Neo Arcadia and something called "Crown Rush" which provides "pulse-pounding action." It's a huge contrast from the colorful and sort-of-cutesy style of Fortnite and the military battle royale gameplay seen in PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds.

The site does have a sign up button which will allow fans to be "the first" to learn about Hyper Scape. Clicking the sign up button takes fans to a log-in page that connects to their Ubisoft account and confirms that updates about the game will be sent to their registered email address. For some time after the site went live, the sign up button wasn't working. If the site was just flooded with sign up requests, it may well suggest that Hyper Scape could well bother Fortnite and its 250 million players.

Without seeing gameplay, it's unclear if Hyper Scape has what it takes to really shake up the battle royale genre. There are a huge number of battle royale games all making a large amount of money but it's difficult to tell if Ubisoft's new title is about to join them.
