Ubisoft is gearing up for its annual Ubisoft Forward gaming showcase event, with some of the biggest features being Skull and Bones, Assassin's Creed, and Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope, according to the early previews. With the show set to go live in just a few days' time, the publisher is now hoping to stoke further interest in the games by announcing that almost all of its flagship IPs will, in fact, be present and accounted for.

As of late, Ubisoft has been rather quiet about its upcoming game releases. With 2022's Ubisoft Forward planned for September 10, however, odds are good that all the big reveals are simply getting saved for the event itself so that Ubisoft games end up being the talk of the town, especially with long-awaited titles such as Skull and Bones making an appearance.

While Ubisoft hasn't offered any real specifics outright, its new preview trailer for this year's Ubisoft Forward prominently features three major franchises: Skull and Bones, Assassin's Creed, and Mario + Rabbids. It's worth noting, too, that only the previewed Assassin's Creed showcase didn't seem to focus on a specific franchise entry, instead showing clips from various AC games. This may not mean much of anything, but it's possible that Ubisoft is preparing for more than just one major Assassin's Creed reveal.

Communication from some of Ubisoft's game development studios, on the other hand, confirms that multiple Division games will be shown off during this year's Ubisoft Forward, too, with Heartland and Resurgence being name-dropped, specifically. With such an impressive array of Ubisoft IPs getting featured in this year's Forward showcase, it seems like the publisher may be attempting to take over a whole news cycle all by itself.

Interestingly, it was earlier this week that The Division: Heartland's store page got leaked, revealing some tidbits of information about the game earlier than expected. It's possible that the publisher is looking to officially release a variety of store pages for its upcoming products during Ubisoft Forward, allowing fans and media greater access to information pertaining to these titles. Doing so would also bolster Ubisoft's engagement with the community as many people would flock to its websites to learn more.

One project that's definitely not going to make an appearance at this year's Ubisoft Forward, however, is Ubisoft's purported Blade game. The publisher came out and officially denied that this game was in development in any capacity, putting that particular array of rumors to rest early on. Fans should have much to look forward to regardless, and it won't be a long wait, either. The 2022 edition of Ubisoft Forward is set to go live on September 10 at 12:00 PT.
