Kickstarter has been a great resource for small developers hoping to release a game that may not attract the attention of a big publisher. That appears to a trend that will continue into 2021, as another project has just passed an impressive goal and confirmed that it will be made. That project is TY the Tasmanian Tiger 2: Bush Rescue HD, a modernization of the classic 3D platformer developed for the PS2, GameCube, and Xbox.

TY the Tasmanian Tiger 2: Bush Rescue HD's Kickstarter campaign started this Thursday and crossed its goal in less than nine hours. The Kickstarter campaign was asking for a hefty sum of $75,000 and it has already crushed that goal. The current pledged total for TY the Tasmanian Tiger 2: Bush Rescue HD is now over $100,000, but the project is expected to go over that significantly with the time it has remaining. The Kickstarter will officially end in just 12 days.

As for what the Kickstarter is promising, for $20 supporters will receive a visually improved HD version of TY the Tasmanian Tiger 2: Bush Rescue HD for either PS4, Nintendo Switch, or Xbox One. The expected delivery date is quite soon, as the game is promised to be finished prior to July 1.

Those interested in the specific planned changes to TY the Tasmanian Tiger 2: Bush Rescue HD can check out the Kickstarter. Some of the highlights include dynamic shadows and water reflection, as well as enhanced draw distances and textures, achievement and trophy support, a new Hardcore Mode, as well as TY and Fourbie skins. It's intended to be an authentic recreation of the original game, much like the Crash Bandicoot remakes, so don't expect any radical changes.

TY the Tasmanian Tiger 2: Bush Rescue HD is coming to PS4, Switch, and Xbox One before July 1.
