When a number of strong personalities are placed in the same room, there is bound to be tension and conflict. The introduction of controversial Twitch streamer xQc to a private Rust server run by content group OfflineTV has certainly delivered on the drama. While streamer Shroud would already like xQc kicked off of the server, xQc is sticking around and responding to blowback over comments he made regarding stream sniping.

Rust, the 2018 sandbox survival game, drops players in the wilderness where they must gather materials and craft items. As a multiplayer-focused game, the greatest challenge to a player's survival is often fending off other players, or finding a way to work with them and form an alliance. Pitting streamers together in this environment has led to clashing personalities, with xQc at the center of most of the conflict. Previously, xQc tangled with Myth over stream sniping allegations, and now he has addressed other instances where he has called out folks for supposed stream sniping.

After facing criticism for calling out his fellow content creators for stream sniping, something that is considered a faux pas unless there is substantial proof, xQc is taking aim at his critics for what he sees as unfair treatment. One person on the server, Edison Park, admitted to using outside information to loot xQc's team when they died in game.

He volunteered to return the items he found, but xQc was not hearing it. The streamer took to Twitter to lament that he "admit[s] to [his] own faults even if it hurts," but others who do something suspect "play the denial card every time and make me look like the psychotic idiot." However, xQc made sure not to include any gameplay footage in his recent tweets after his account was temporarily suspended for a DMCA breach where he featured his own footage.

This mud slinging seems unnecessary given Edison Park was willing to return what he gained through the outsider information he obtained. However, xQc has been on a warpath since joining the Rust server. Besides the stream sniping accusations, the controversial streamer has also clashed with other streamers on the server. Streamer ash_on_lol received death threats after she ran afoul of xQc, something that a streamer should never have to face.

The drama has proven to be too much for some, with Pokimane leaving the Rust server after "not having a good time" playing the game. While the OfflineTV Rust server has drummed up interest in the game, it does seem to be coming at a cost, given all the Twitch-related drama surrounding it.
