Twitch streamer Felix "xQc" Lengyel became frustrated with his chat during a recent livestream, permanently banning one chatter after they suggested that Amouranth was lying about being abused by her husband. A few minutes later, the Twitch streamer angrily yelled at his chat for suggesting that he was trying to profit off Amouranth’s abuse.

During a recent Twitch stream, Kaitlyn “Amouranth” Siragusa revealed the abuse she was experiencing at the hands of her husband. Viewers could hear him berating her during the stream and threatening to kill her dogs. Amouranth also revealed that her husband had complete control over her finances, threatened to evict her, and pressured her to keep their marriage secret since telling the truth would “ruin the business model.” It later came out that police had been called to the couple’s home multiple times.

Most of Amouranth’s Twitch colleagues expressed their support for her during this difficult time. This includes xQc, who reacted to Amouranth’s emotional return to streaming during his livestream on October 16th. However, xQc ran out of patience when one of his chatters suggested that Amouranth was only pretending to have been abused. “It was a stunt lmao,” xQc reads aloud before permanently banning the chatter and calling them “annoying.”

However, the chat really gets on xQc’s nerves a few minutes later. As Amouranth starts talking about people using her unpleasant situation to farm for clout, xQc’s chat fills with comments suggesting that’s what he was doing. This finally pushed the popular Twitch streamer over the edge. He exploded at the trolling commenters, calling them “stupid” and “dumb,” along with several expletives.

Twitch streamer xQc is one of several famous streamers to come out in support of Amouranth. Valkyrae, Jessica Nigri, LilyPichu, and CodeMiko all expressed their support over Twitter, as well as calling out the victim blaming that some people were engaging in online. CodeMiko specifically targeted people who attributed some of Amouranth’s success to her abusive husband, stating that those people needed to “touch grass.” Meanwhile, Twitch streamer Asmongold berated a viewer who was upset that Amouranth was married, calling the chatter “a f***ing idiot” for donating $3000 to her.

XQC took a short break from streaming after contracting COVID last week. Given the timeline, it seems likely that he caught the illness at TwitchCon in San Diego, arguably adding to the number of content creators injured at TwitchCon. However, he seems to have recovered quickly and is back to streaming again.
