On January 4, Twitch Streamer xQc successfully broke Forsen's record for the Minecraft speedrun but was taken out by a fish in the process. Speedrunning Minecraft from the start to the Ender Dragon is no easy feat and requires a great deal of skill and practice to be able to do it quickly and efficiently. There are many different techniques that Minecraft players use to make the process faster and easier, and it can take a long time to learn all of them.

xQc is a popular Canadian Twitch streamer who first rose to prominence as a professional Overwatch player. Since then, xQc has become one of the most popular personalities on the platform, with his lively and entertaining streams regularly pulling in tens of thousands of viewers. On the other hand, Forsen is a Twitch streamer who isn't as popular as xQc, but his Minecraft skills are excellent and on par with xQc's skills.

In April 2021, Forsen speedruns Minecraft in 20 minutes and 38 seconds, breaking xQc's previous record by just 7 seconds. Since then, xQc had been trying hard to retake the Minecraft record but wasn't having much success until January 4th. However, a clip of the record-breaking speedrun went viral on social media, which shows the streamer trying to dig his way into a desert pyramid to retrieve the loot. While doing so, when the streamer places water below him, it accidentally spawns a fish as well which triggers an explosion resulting in the destruction of surrounding areas and hitting the streamer, xQc.

xQc's confusion and frustration was evident from his facial expressions; it was clear that he was struggling to understand what had just happened. The good news was that the incident happened just under four minutes into the Minecraft speedrun, so there was still time for a comeback, which he did. xQc's high-octane gameplay and hilarious commentary have made him a hit with viewers all over the world, and with this world record, he has cemented his place as one of the top Minecraft players in the world.

20 minutes and 5 seconds is the new world record for speedrunning Minecraft, set by controversial streamer xQc, and this is much shorter than many people would have thought possible. Given that it took 2 years for a streamer like xQc to break 20 minutes 38 seconds, it is safe to say that it won't be easy for Forsen or any other player to break xQc's new record.

Minecraft is available now on PC, PS4, PS4, Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and mobile devices.
