Netflix's new hit Squid Game has taken the internet by storm, with everything from fan websites to Roblox games being created. This popularity has spelled trouble for the Twitch streamer Squidgame, and despite the majority of her content being on the Twitch platform, her social medias are having problems simply due to her name. The Netflix show has become a phenomenon across Twitch, TikTok, Twitter, and Instagram. As such, there could be a multitude of reasons behind the streamer's Instagram recently being banned.

A popular member of the gaming community for quite some time, Squidgame has been a part of the well known group Yogscast for several years. The combined talent of her as a streamer and the recognizable name of Yogscast throughout gaming communities has led to a devoted following for quite some time. Soon after Twitch geting hacked, Squidgame not only had to worry about her account information on one platform, but potentially Instagram as well after getting surprisingly banned. Squidgame has now quickly rose to the top post on Reddit due to her unjust ban on the social media platform.

Recently, with the Squid Game Netflix show heavily gaining popularity on TikTok and social medias, fans of the show have potentially been targetting Squidgaming's Instagram account for sharing the same name as the show. With this in mind, Squidgame theorizes they may have been reporting her account, or attempting to hack into it; both a grounds for the account being banned. Ironically, after the release of the Twitch Do Not Ban List appeared online to public surprise, it appears Squidgame was not on any similar list for Instagram.

Many streamers are currently searching for un-ban opportunities throughout Twitch and outside social medias. After MarkiLokurasY was recently unbanned despite Twitch considering his ban 'permanant,' other banned content creators may be optimistic about their chances across a variety of platforms. Squidgame has held the name for quite a long time as well, and long before the Netflix release of Squid Game. As such, the streamer and fans are curious as to potential compensation.

Between streamers and communities is where a heavy majority of Twitch drama lies, such as Asmongold dismissing playing with randoms, but not so commonly does a streamer get targetted by fans of alternative medias. TikTok has been the culprit of many real life harrassments and issues, namingly one recent example being "devious licks." However, with the platforms increasing support of Netflix's Squid Game, content creators and Twitch streamers sharing similarities with the name may want to be cautious with their information and accounts.
