While many gamers look forward to their favorite games, many of those same players also look forward to watching streamers play those games. Whether it's their favorite Twitch player spending some time with a new or classic title, or getting prepared for a stream of their own, livestreams have become synonymous with gaming itself. While some streamers show off their pets in their streams, one Twitch streamer recently had their cat literally crash their broadcast.

As livestreaming has grown from a small fad to a proper way for popular gamers to make a living talking and interacting with fans, it isn't something a person can start doing so easily. There's a requirement to have fast and stable internet, a computer that can handle the output streaming takes, and other expensive equipment.

Twitch streamer mrgoldenkey had just gone live on his channel and was in the process of setting up his stream when disaster seemed to strike several times. In a clip shared to "r/LivestreamFail" on Reddit, he can be seen surveying his settings as his chat tells him there's no sound, asking if he's muted. Before he can even fix the audio issue, though, his cat appears almost out of nowhere and jumps on top of his computer tower. The feline knocks it over as a result, and the chaos quickly ends the Twitch streamer. Click here if the clip isn't working.

People on the LivestreamFail subreddit are finding the clip humorous and surprising, as some of them had no idea that a cat could be strong enough to knock over a computer tower with such ease. The commentators have taken to calling mrgoldenkey's cat joking nicknames in tribute to their strength. This isn't the first time a Twitch streamer has lost their computer to a cat, and it may not be the last.

The clip is simple, and not at all long, but it's understandable why it's made some people laugh, especially since a Final Fantasy 14 stream was ruined by a cat a few months ago with the same hilarity gained from viewers. Those that watch the clip can see the moment that the streamer realizes that his pet has caused a problem, and the clip stutters as the connection is lost before it fully ends.

It serves as a great example that while making sure their broadcast is working, streamers need to make sure their equipment is properly protected. Even though the animal had no idea what was going on, there's a chance that the cat may have damaged mrgoldenkey's computer tower as a result. Computer towers are on the expensive side, and considering some Twitch streamers haven't been paid properly by the website, replacing such an important piece of technology may be a terrible expense to unprepared streamers.
