Twitch Prime consistently grants subscribers a selection of free games month to month. It's enough to keep even the most dedicated game players busy every single week. As if that wasn't enough, Twitch has a new partnership lined up for even more games in 2020. Friday morning Twitch announced that it is working with SNK to get over 20 great games to Twitch Prime subscribers. It all starts on May 26 with a bundle of 7 free SNK games, with the rest to follow throughout the rest of the year.

The May 26 bundle of 7 SNK games will include The King of Fighters 2002, Samurai Shodown 2, Pulstar, and other titles. Other games teased in a trailer released by Twitch that may or may not be a part of the bundle include Art of Fighting 2, Blazing Star, Fatal Fury Special, and The King of Fighters 2000. That's a load of awesome fighting games, beat'em ups, and SHMUPs.

The teaser trailer also reveals some of the remaining 13 or more SNK games that fans can look forward to. That list includes Garou: Mark of the Wolves, The King of Fighters '98: Ultimate Match, King of the Monsters, Metal Slug 2: Super Vehicle-001/II, Sengoku 3, and The Last Blade 2. And there's more to follow.

Twitch and the short teaser trailer make clear that the 20 new games will be spread across all of 2020. So while this first bundle of 7 games will be available on May 26, the remaining 13+ games could be released anywhere from June to December.

SNK is best known for its 90s releases, specifically its fighting games. Due to its focus on arcade games, the Neo Geo console hardware, and a variety of other major factors, SNK went bankrupt in the early 2000s and was bought by Playmore. Since then the company has had its ups and downs, but a modern resurgence seems to be forthcoming.

This isn't the first time that Twitch has bundled with SNK, coincidentally. In late 2018, Twitch offered Twitch Prime subscribers a free bundle that including 8 different games. There's even some crossover, with Pulstar, Samurai Shodown 2, Fatal Fury Special, and Metal Slug 2 shared between the two bundles. The rest may even be included in the current bundle's 20+ games. It's interesting that Twitch is revisiting the bundle over a year later, but Twitch Prime subscribers are likely fine with it. Free games are always welcome.

SNK's first bundle of games becomes available on May 26.
