The holiday season is usually a busy month for content-based sites, and Twitch is no exception. For example, the Twitch-hosted charity event, Awesome Games Done Quick, starts this weekend. AGDQ is a huge event on Twitch, pulling in massive views with a lineup of well over a hundred different games. However, it looks like Twitch is also giving back to its viewers to cap off the holiday season and ring in the new year.
Twitch usually gives out free games to their Twitch Prime members each month as perks for opting into that promotion, and this month is no exception. From now until February 1 or 3 depending on the title, Twitch Prime members can redeem 10 free games to download and play through the Twitch Launcher. This is something Twitch Prime members won’t want to miss, as there are some real gems in this lineup of games.
Like other streaming platforms such as Mixer, Twitch also gives out free games to members of the Twitch Prime service. Meaning, those who link their Amazon Prime accounts to Twitch can receive benefits like in-game loot and even free titles. Despite platforms like Mixer and Facebook snagging streamers like Disguised Toast, Twitch is still the top streaming platform out for both streamers and viewers alike.
One of the perks of being the top streaming platform is the resources Twitch has at its disposal. Among those resources are promotional games given out for free, and in January, Twitch is offering a great list of 10 free games for Twitch Prime members to download and enjoy. The 10 games included are as follows:

There are some really great games being offered up, a handful of which come from publisher Devolver Digital. Devolver Digital is a publisher most notably behind the breakout hit, Hotline Miami, which received a collection title on Switch earlier this year. However, there are some great titles offered up this month besides those published by Devolver, like A Normal Lost Phone, a story-driven puzzle game about finding a stranger’s lost phone.
Alongside these free games, Twitch Prime members can redeem free bonus goodies for games like Apex Legends, Borderlands 3, Red Dead Redemption 2, and GTA Online. To accept and download both the free titles and bonus goodies, simply link an Amazon Prime enabled account with Twitch to join Twitch Prime. Twitch Prime also has additional benefits for those who watch Twitch often, like a free monthly subscription to one’s channel of choice.
While Twitch is still considered the king of live-streaming platforms, Mixer and Facebook Gaming continue to grow in size. Thanks in no small part to both platforms acquisition of some big names, like Ninja, Shroud, and King Gothalion. The live streaming landscape is sure to be an interesting thing to watch develop as 2020 continues.
