Bo Burnham's Inside special has taken the Internet by storm, with a great deal of praise given to the various musical numbers that make up the critically-acclaimed event. Some fans have taken the style of Bo Burnham's Inside songs and created their own takes, like Twitch streamer OhBrooke, who has been making parody songs of "Welcome to the Internet" to point out the flaws in various video games. OhBrooke's videos have gone viral, especially the one that takes aim at Apex Legends.

The song starts by pointing out how Apex Legends is "fun and free to play" but those that purchase the Battle Pass will "have to grind all day." It then talks about how Apex Legends players drop solo instead of sticking with the group, die, and then quit the game as soon as their banner is found for a potential revive. The song then ends by saying Respawn Entertainment doesn't listen to its own playerbase.

Welcome to Apex Legends

It's fun and free to play

But if you purchase the Battle Pass

You'll have to grind all day

Your Wraith player drops solo

And then dies 1v3

You find his banner

And he instantly leaves

Welcome to Apex Legends

Console or PC?

You'll be fighting versus one squad

Then die to a third party

You queue up for Trios

There's Preds all over the place

The devs won't listen

To their own playerbase

The song takes aim at various aspects of the Apex Legends experience, mainly in regards to unhelpful teammates. It makes reference to Wraith being one of the most popular Apex Legends picks, and how players may sometimes find themselves unfairly up against "Preds," who are high-ranked players. Since Apex Legends has skill-based matchmaking, sometimes high-skilled players use "smurf" accounts to so that they can play against those who aren't as good at the game as they are, though Respawn has been working to clamp down on this behavior in recent months.

While there's been a fair share of criticism aimed at Apex Legends since the popular battle royale first launched in 2019, it still has plenty of dedicated fans. Developer Respawn Entertainment has kept fans engaged through regular content updates that have added new maps, guns, and characters to Apex Legends, and the next season is set to kick off soon.

Apex Legends Season 10 will get underway in early August, with it adding a new, moth-themed playable character named Seer. With Apex Legends Season 10 right around the corner, fans don't have to wait much longer to find out if Seer is a worthy addition to the roster or not.

Apex Legends is out now for PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
