It appears that Twitch Streamer Hyphonix has been placed under a 30-day streaming ban, as he had previously been suspended 9 different times. The current popularity of the streaming service makes this a difficult time to be suspended, especially when compared to Ninja who has recently hit 3 million followers. Nevertheless, Hyphonix can’t even appear or talk on other streams because if he did, he could be perma-banned.

This doesn’t sound so hard, except for the fact that his roommates are also Twitch streamers. Although Hyphonix acknowledges that he deserves this suspension, claiming that it was due to his removing his shirt after covering it in tomato sauce, his current living situation makes it really hard to avoid his roommates’ streams. Not only could he be perma-banned for appearing as even a voice in one of the streams, but his roommates who had done nothing wrong could also be punished.

He states that he has to pretend like he’s not even there, which is a difficult situation for anyone in their own home. Considering it affects his “quality of life,” Hyphonix recently made a plea to Twitch on Twitter to let him at least talk with his roommates. For those who have been following this streamer’s difficulties with this suspension, know that Hyphonix has posted about his situation a couple of times:

It does not seem, however, at this time that he has received a response. But it may simply be because Twitch officials are busy coordinating with the FBI for threats made against the EVO Championship Series 2018 over its service. Only time will tell if Twitch will lighten the burden placed upon Hyphonix, but considering this is his tenth offense, it doesn’t seem too likely.

After all, Twitch has a huge fanbase (where Fortnite is the most streamed game) and the enforcement of its rules is vital for the longevity of the streaming service. Still, some may find this too harsh considering he’s not going out of his way to appear in his roommates’ streams, just that his virtual prison is looking more like a real one. What do you think, Ranters?
