It's no secret that times are rough, although that may be an understatement. Many people have taken to watching streaming services like Twitch as an escape, whether they play video games or not.

Of all the streaming platforms that have sprung up, Twitch remains one of the most popular. Games like Among Us and its "competitor" Fall Guys have risen in prominence as players gather for games that let them play with friends and demand little dedication. This, of course, does not make Twitch any more welcoming for streamers trying to make a name for themselves. So when three year up and comer GabbyRose went through some very rough times over the years, her fans reached out to cheer her up and got a live reaction.

Being a Twitch streamer can lead to a huge fan base and lots of money. For proof, just look at Pokimane, who recently donated $10,000 to fellow streamers. But it's a long, tough road to success, as GabbyRose can attest. After an awful few months that saw the end of her 5 year long relationship and the loss of her job, fans decided Gabby could use some cheering up. They put together several positive messages on a Kudoboard and sent her the link, showing their love with positive messages and fan art. Her reaction happened live on stream, and it's pretty emotional.

It isn't just outside life that has been hitting GabbyRose hard. With her job as a lifeguard terminated, she has been trying to get a Twitch partnership. This requires reaching and keeping a steady viewership threshold. To that end, in addition to her usual Soulsborne content, Gabby has been streaming Among Us. It's one of the top viewed Twitch games at the moment, so it's a good strategy.

However, she has run into trouble with viewbots. These are fake viewers that real people can send to swarm a stream, artificially inflating the viewcount. Twitch reacts negatively to viewbot swarms, and it can hurt a streamer's reputation. While the reason behind Gabby being targeted by these swarms is not known, it has made her goal more difficult. Viewbots, like Twitch's music restrictions, are one of the hurdles streamers must navigate, though they don't always have the tools.

During these awful times, people are trying to make their way forward however they can. For some, it's pursuing a path they never thought they'd have to chase. Many are attempting to turn the hobby of gaming into a career, and it's not easy. Even a well known personality like Ronda Rousey really went to work at streaming. Here's hoping that this message of support is only one of many, both to GabbyRose and to others.
