The Twitch streaming service is known for a lot of things such as inconsistent application of its banhammer and a few personalities such as Dr Disrespect. Occasionally, it is also defined by some type of controversy like when Ninja called Twitch out shortly after leaving the platform, yet the latest detail to bring the service to the forefront is a recent partnership, or more specifically, the memes that said partnership spawned.

Twitch has partnered with Coke which was announced as part of this latest ad which shows Coke giving bits and subs to new partners. The ad itself shows just that, highlighting an over-the-top reaction to the news of partnerships and gifts, yet many fans were quick to point out two major flaws with this ad: it's played constantly and it's the only one. Playing it less often would make the ad less annoying to many, yet would likely null and void its purpose, but many would welcome a little variety to the advertisement.

Since then, people have been quick to criticize Twitch and Coke over this, with many saying the ad was "actually the best Pepsi ad." Variety would go far to change the narrative here, but as is the case with most things on the Internet, there wasn't a whole lot of time for course correcting. This Twitch Coke ad has evolved into its own meme, with various Twitch streamers now parodying the screeching, over-the-top showcases of the ad in various ways.

Scouring social media, there are quite a few who chose the simple path of turning the text of the above ad into a copypasta to be easily and widely shared. Others took it a step further, with perhaps Afghan Veteran and Twitch streamer AmericanDad (not to be confused with the TV Show) taking the cake. In a video where he shows a slightly-hyperbolic parade of Twitch coke ads, he leaves after and is then shown with a cart load of Pepsi to drink later, thereby echoing the sentiment that this could actually be a Pepsi ad.

Real-life parodies have yet to gain a lot of traction, but parodies and reactions of the advertisement are understandable. The amount of excitement showcased in the Coke Ad isn't necessarily so far out there, as such Twitch gifts could easily be exciting, but the sheer amount of excitement pumped into it seems gratuitous. This is captured in realistic responses and parodies, two of which are seen above.

It'll be interesting to see what becomes of this meme. Most are often overnight successes, like the various Xbox Series X comparison memes, but it's not impossible to see a meme slowly build up in terms of popularity. Of course, given that the ad will likely be changed or reduced at some point, it may not even get that far. But for those who enjoy memes, it's hard not to get a chuckle out of the Twitch Coke ad, at least when not actually watching it.
