Popular streaming platform Twitch is known for a variety of content beyond livestreaming gameplay, from IRL streams to Vtubers and hot tub streams, and each category is subject to the platform's terms of service. Twitch streamer and Vtuber Anny, who has amassed a sizable following since streaming on Twitch relatively consistently since 2016, has recently been banned for allegedly violating the terms of service.

Twitch Vtuber Anny has garnered a following of around 190,000 viewers in over six years of livestreaming on the Amazon platform, but her community is left waiting to see the popular streamer for a week due to a ban. Many channels have increased their follower count by taking the Twitch Vtuber approach and that's no different with Anny who adopted the streaming style in March 2021 and has since steadily seen growing metrics. Like other Twitch streamers who use the more traditional method of a front-facing camera, Vtubers like Anny entertain their communities with gameplay, reactions, just chatting, and more.

Anny had never been hit with a ban despite remaining dedicated to livestreaming on the Amazon platform, but that all changed on June 28. Sharing a StreamerBans tweet, Anny confirmed that her ban will last for seven days, running until July 5, but the Vtuber didn't initially confirm what the ban was for. In responding to her community, Anny revealed that the Twitch ban was sent to her because she disobeyed the Twitch nudity policy like several other streamers have in the past despite Anny being represented by a cartoon character.

Although many Twitch streamers have been banned and returned to equal or greater success, Anny feels the punishment is unfair as she references nudity from other streamers who aren't banned for as long. Because Twitch occasionally bans and quickly unbans popular streamers, it's possible that Anny may return before the 7-day ban has concluded, but it may require an appeal. Anny also creates content for a YouTube channel that shares her Twitch name, but it's currently unclear if the livestreamer will take to the Google platform as she waits out the remainder of her Twitch ban.

With other Twitch bans like Adin Ross and Asmongold, viewers are left surprised and that's no different with many members of Anny's community that expressed shock and frustration over the Vtuber's ban upon the StreamerBans tweet. Though many members of Anny's Twitch community agreed with and echoed her sentiment that the 7-day ban is a little severe, others who have seen the clip of the Vtuber in question suggest that it's a ban-worthy offense.
