For the eighth time in his streaming career, controversial content creator Adin Ross has been banned off Twitch. The decision was made on Saturday night, following Ross' recent non-exclusive move over to Kick, one of Twitch's streaming competitors, though whether that played a part in this decision is still not known. This marks the second time in 2023 that Ross received a ban from the platform, with the earlier Twitch ban coming in January after Ross streamed an arm-wrestling match which resulted in his private security having one of his arms break. Twitch did not officially confirm what the cause of January's ban was at the time, nor has any word come to light with his eighth infraction.RELATED: Adin Ross Plans on Visiting Andrew Tate in JailOn February 25, one month after his last ban, Adin Ross was banned by Twitch and has since led to many speculating on the cause. With over 300 comments and 2,000 likes as of this writing, it's no surprise to see the divide between those who are celebrating his latest ban and his fans who have been left with questions. Earlier this month, Ross moved to Kick for his streaming content, claiming it was a non-exclusive agreement and that the new platform would need to pay him more money to stream solely on their website. Kick offers its partners a 95/5 monetary split, a rise from Twitch's 50/50 offer, but comes with the caveat that the rules aren't as imposed as what Twitch has to offer. This has led to many questioning the lifespan of Kick and their potential for advertisements in the future.

Some onlookers claim that Ross' latest ban is a spiteful one from Twitch over his push to stream more on Kick and state that he is one of many to be making the move. Earlier this week, Ross claimed many more high-profile streamers were making the move after he made claims of receiving a phone call from a Twitch senior that his content would need to be modified to avoid any further disciplinary action. According to Twitch's terms of service, partner exclusivity prevents the vast majority of their major partners from streaming on any other platform, which heavily implies that Ross' direct move to Kick is in violation of this act. At the time of his decision, Ross was unbanned from his January infraction and still maintained his partner status.

It is unknown at this time whether Ross' partner status on Twitch will be removed due to the violation and receiving his eighth ban, but the platform does have justification in making the move. Ross was in hot water on the Kick platform most recently, after streaming pornography to his audience while live, many of whom were underage. Although Ross has been an advocate to ban sexual content on Twitch in the past, his recent behavior indicates a lack of consistency and has his audience wondering how long his ban on Twitch will last this time around, or whether it will be upheld for good.
