Call of Duty: Warzone fans have been dealing with cheating for some time now, though one of the latest cases is a bit more shocking. After several accusations of playing unfairly, Call of Duty: Warzone streamer AAmerica has been permanently banned from Twitch.

AAmerica is best known for his performance in a Twitch Rivals tournament from back in January. Bringing home the $10,000 prize for second place, the gamer also earned an extra $1,000 for being awarded MVP honors in that same competition. However, with a different player caught cheating in the tournament, there was plenty of controversy surrounding it. As it turns out, the second-place winner may have been cheating as well.

While many pointed to some suspect plays in the Call of Duty: Warzone tournament, a recent thread has blown up where another gamer shows AAmerica cheating in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War. The Twitter thread comes courtesy of @9Simz, and it includes five clips of absurd kills pulled off by AAmerica. In several, he aims at a wall randomly, suggesting that he could be tracking players. However, the big takeaway is his pre-firing, as it is consistent among several clips. The cheater also takes cover depending on @9Simz's position, preparing for fights he should not know are coming.

While this is a common tactic used by highly skilled players, the lack of a UAV or footsteps makes AAmerica’s movements unnatural. Firing with perfect accuracy before @9Simz turns a corner shows that AAmerica knew he was coming, likely due to wallhacks. With wallhacks in Call of Duty: Warzone being so prevalent, it can be believed that he used the same cheats to win in his tournament as well. With Twitch catching on to the thread, AAmerica was banned live, and @IceManIssac was clearly pleased with the decision based on the way that he phrased his comment.

As pointed out by the NRG member, Twitch likely would not take kindly to a cheater essentially stealing $11,000 from actual professionals. With the ban also happening live, it is clear how serious Twitch is about its response, and Call of Duty: Warzone fans have been quick to call out AAmerica for cheating. Instead of denying that he used wallhacks, he says that he will be deleting his social media account, citing death threats and leaked info as the reason. The player has also retweeted the thread where he was accused, showing that he is very much aware of the accusations.

While this fall from grace is certainly interesting to see, it is just another example of the cheating problem plaguing Call of Duty. With Call of Duty: Warzone’s ban count continuing to grow, but cheating still as prevalent as ever, fans are hoping that something more will be done going forward.

Call of Duty: Warzone is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
