After such a successful first season, fans of Loki are anxiously waiting to see what happens to everyone’s favorite God of Mischief. Although there’s still some time before the next season of Loki is released, there are plenty of shows that are reminiscent of this popular Disney Plus series that can keep fans entertained while they wait to see the infamous trickster once again.
These shows contain all of the trappings that made Loki such a hit with viewers: fantasy, adventure, heroism, and even time travel. Fans of the MCU, as well as those who were enthralled by the TVA, Loki's variants, and Agent Mobius's obsession with jet skis should be sure to watch before the God of Mischief returns in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.
Gravity Falls
This lighthearted animated series details the unusual events that take place during the summer months of 2012. The show contains a lot of mythical elements and even explores the concept of time travel while “mystery twins'' Mable and Dipper Pines seek out answers to the questions that live in the underbelly of Gravity Falls, Oregon.
With the help of their great uncle Stan, their friend Soos, and Dipper’s crush Wendy, Mable and Dipper use a mysterious journal written by an unknown author to discover all the secrets of the universe. Gravity Falls is much different than anything Disney has done before and every episode is packed with new challenges for the Pines twins to overcome, until they eventually face off against a much bigger (and much eviler) enemy.
Gravity Falls has 2 seasons and is streaming on Disney Plus.
The Umbrella Academy
Based on a comic book series written by famous musician Gerard Way, The Umbrella Academy centers around the heroic deeds done by a group of adopted siblings. As they grew older, the heroes became estranged but must band together to defeat the evil that’s threatening to destroy the world.
Marvel fans watched Loki reflect on his complicated relationship with Thor and his parents during the Loki series, and The Umbrella Academy is the perfect series to watch be for more family drama and plenty of superhero action
Seasons 1 and 2 are available on Netflix. The Umbrella Academy has been renewed for a third season.
Supernatural
Loki frequently dealt with topics like free will, discovering oneself, and finding a place to belong in the world. Supernatural uses its protagonists Sam and Dean Winchester to handle similar thematic elements. The Winchesters frequently battle mythical creatures and struggle to accept their destiny on their journey to fight evil and even come face to face with the “man behind the curtain” that is pulling all the strings in the show's final season. Supernatural combines fantasy, sci-fi, horror, and even comedy to tell Sam and Dean’s story.
Plus, fans of Loki have grown quite accustomed to the fact that he has a habit of dying and coming back to life, which the Winchester brothers also do pretty frequently. Fans that are searching for heart-wrenching angst, moments of vulnerability shared between characters, or even just a good laugh should watch Supernatural to fill the void left by the MCU while waiting for season 2 of Loki.

Legends of Tomorrow
Legends of Tomorrow currently serves as one of the major frontrunners for the CW’s Arrowverse and is a great way to dive into the DC Comics-inspired shows that have been on air for many years now. Time travel is a huge component of the storytelling that takes place in the series and many of the show’s major protagonists started off as villains in the DC world, but were given a shot at redemption, similar to Loki.
The group of heroes and reformed villains in Legends of Tomorrow travel through time to help keep the balance of the universe as they struggle to avoid interfering with the natural flow of time.
Seasons 1-5 are available on Netflix, with season 6 coming this fall. Legends of Tomorrow has been renewed for a 7th season, which will premiere on the CW.
Lucifer
Sticking with the theme of bad guys gone good, the devil himself brings plenty of fun to audiences in Lucifer while running an exclusive nightclub in downtown Los Angeles. Lucifer is another DC Comics-inspired series, and although time travel or the multiverse doesn’t play much of a role, this is the perfect show to watch for fans who enjoyed seeing Loki collaborate with the TVA while learning how to become more human.
In this show, Lucifer Morningstar begins working with the LA Police Department to help Detective Chloe Decker solve crimes and keep people safe. Loki and Lucifer are both characters who enjoy dabbling in the art of mischief, but at the end of the day, these powerful men are just victims of a dysfunctional family with the desire to escape the fate others have chosen for them.
Lucifer has been renewed for a 6th season. Seasons 1-5 can be streamed on Netflix.
