Trivial Pursuit is a Canadian board game that has been around for quite some time. It was first released in 1981 and was the brainchild of Canadian photo editor Chris Haney and sports editor Scott Abbott. After discovering that pieces of their Scrabble game were missing, they decided to create their own game. It wasn't until 2008 that Hasbro bought the full rights to the game. More than 100 million physical editions of the game have been sold in 26 countries and 17 languages.

Trivial Pursuit the table-top game is a relatively simple general knowledge question game. The object of the game is to move around a six-spoke wheel board by correctly answering trivia questions and collecting colored "wedges" that represent categories of questions. Upon collecting all six wedges the player must answer a final question on a topic chosen by the opponents to win the game.

Trivial Pursuit Live 2 plays like a TV game show experience with four original question formats that adhere to the original board games rule-set. Players can choose and customize an on-screen avatar and unlock rewards by playing to jazz them up.

Apart from the obvious addition of online play against players across the world, Ubisoft has added another cool new feature to Trivial Pursuit Live 2 that improves on its predecessor. The game will allow players to compete against their favorite streamers and other viewers on Twitch, with the new streaming mode utilizing the Twitch chat voting system.

Trivial Pursuit Live 2 is available now on PlayStation 4, Stadia, Switch, and Xbox One.
