Wrestling legend Paul "Triple H" Levesque continues climbing the WWE's corporate ladder, now adding a new job title to his name as the sports company’s Chief Content Officer, a role he will assume jointly with his duties as Executive Vice President of Talent Relations and Head of Creative.

The announcement was disclosed via an official press release from the WWE, alongside the promotion of Frank A. Riddick III to President & Chief Financial Officer, although both decisions had been made public in the WWE's latest SEC filing last week. These key moves represent yet another step in the WWE personnel shuffling spearheaded by new Co-CEOs Nick Khan and Stephanie McMahon after Vince McMahon's retirement back in July.

Levesque being named to a higher position will come as a surprise to very few, given that the WWE credited his work for contributing to a 15% increase in viewership for Monday Night Raw, as well as rising social media metrics for the wrestling brand. Speaking of his new responsibilities, Levesque expressed his happiness in working at “one of the most prolific producers of premium content in the world." He also stated that he holds a firm belief that “we have the right pieces in place to continue to grow our audience and deliver for our fans around the world.”

Triple H only announced his definitive retirement from the ring in March, but since then he’s been more than busy coming up with new ways to enhance the WWE's appeal. That even means reversing policies established by his former boss, McMahon, such as allowing WWE wrestlers to use their full names. Among the decisions driven by Levesque is bringing back Brian "Road Dogg" James to the WWE as Vice President of Live Events.

The WWE was shaken by McMahon's retirement, especially considering the controversial CEO stepped down amidst an ongoing investigation related to the payment of over $12 million to cover up potential sexual harassment claims. Now, the WWE seems quite intent on looking past the McMahon era, and Triple H has surely been a central piece in renovating the sports company's image.

Levesque has been one of wrestling's biggest names since the sport's rise in popularity during the '90s all the way to recent years as NXT's founder, always paired with other legends like The Undertaker, Stone Cold Steve Austin, Chyna, and fellow wrestlers turned Hollywood stars Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson and John Cena. So far, his WWE career behind the desk is off to a rather impressive start too.
