Tribes of Midgard gives players a variety of weapons to choose from while they work to delay Ragnorok. Players can choose between bows, swords, axes, and hammers when building their ideal Viking hero. Picking a weapon of choice is essential to survival within the game.

Players will have to make sure they upgrade the weaponsmith's shop to unlock more than the standard villager weapon sets. The weapons in Tribes of Midgard can deal large amounts of damage, which increases when paired with armor sets that boost elemental effects. However, on their own, some weapons are powerful enough to make players forego armor.

The Serpent Saga introduces several new enemies and a new area to explore and defend from Jotun. With so many new challenges added, players will have more chances to master the various weapon types in the game. While all the weapons from season one are still available in-game, several new weapons have been added as well. This article has been updated to include additional weapons added in the Serpent Saga.

12 Nornir Bow III

  • Rarity Level: Epic. Though this bow may only give players 147 points toward their power level, it is exceptionally useful.
  • Element: Thunder.
  • Perks: All bows have an infinite supply of regular arrows, but this bow charges those regular arrows into thunder arrows. This means players do not have to purchase thunder arrows at all while using this bow. The arrows fired from Nornir's Bow have a chance to stun enemies on a hit. Players also gain access to the Pierce and Healing Arc skills, the latter being very useful in group raids.
  • How To Acquire: To craft this weapon players must have 9 Linnorm spikes, 5 mushroom moon bolts, 4 werewolf fangs, and 1 level two Nornir Bow. The mushroom moon bolts are found in the Land of Pools regions. Players can also find the vicious Linnorm there, which drops their spikes on a defeat.

11 Serpent Gnasher III

  • Rarity Level: Epic. This Axe grants players 155 points towards their power level.
  • Element: Dark.
  • Perks: The Serpent Gnasher deals dark elemental damage, making it very useful against enemies that use thunder-based attacks. The ax also has a chance to reduce a target's armor.
  • How To Acquire: To craft this weapon players will need the Serpent Gnasher II, 11 Selkie Flippers, 8 amethysts, and 6 Helthing Crowns. Selkie Flippers can be found on the Beacon Islands as a drop from enemies.

10 Serpent Tongue III

  • Rarity Level: Epic. This sword adds 160 points to the user's power level and is the third upgrade available for the Serpent Tongue. The Serpent Tongue is one of the best weapons to craft early in the game.
  • Element: Dark
  • Perks: The Serpent Tongue deals dark elemental damage. This damage type creates a void effect on enemies, which has a chance to reduce the target's armor. This weapon is great for taking down thunder-type enemies, and also offers some ranged effects. With enough mana, players can send a whirlwind of dark energy towards their enemies.
  • How To Acquire: Players who wish to craft this lethal sword will have to gather 12 unsunken talismans, 8 Midnight Yew essences, and 6 Dokkalfar orbs. In addition, they will also need to have a level two Serpent Tongue already crafted to apply the upgrade to.

9 Alviss' Hammer III

  • Rarity Level: Epic. This hammer adds 168 points to the user's total power.
  • Element: Thunder
  • Perks: Alviss' hammer deals thunder damage to enemies. This also means the hammer has a chance to stun a target for a short period of time. Using mana, players can also utilize the Shatter and Candor Drop abilities.
  • How To Acquire: This is the third recipe upgrade for Alviss' Hammer, meaning players must have one hammer up to level two in their inventory. In addition, they will need 14 Linnorm spikes, 8 Evening Rowan Drops, and 5 werewolf fangs. They can only harvest the Evening Rowan Drops at night in the Bright Forest, from Lunar Rowan Trees.

8 Seidr Hammer II

  • Rarity Level: Epic. This hammer gives the user 169 points towards their total power level.
  • Element: Dark
  • Perks: This epic weapon deals dark damage, which can reduce an enemy's armor. The hammer also gives the user access to the Shatter and Drain attacks.
  • How To Acquire: Players must have one level one Seidr Hammer in their inventory. They will also need to gather 17 Helthing rings, 11 Amethysts, and 8 Helthing crowns. The Helthing rings and crowns can be gathered while defending the village at night. The crown will drop from Sirelings, while the rings will drop from Seeklings and Elite Seeklings.

7 Elivagar Bow

  • Rarity Level: Legendary. This bow gives the user 175 points toward their total power level.
  • Element: Dark.
  • Perks: Elvagar's Bow is the most powerful bow in the game. The legendary item deals dark elemental damage to targets, reducing their armor. In addition, like other bows, players have an infinite amount of regular arrows that change into dark arrows when this bow is equipped. With mana, players can use the Knockback, Sticky Drain, and Grim Barrage skills.
  • How To Acquire: The recipe for this bow can often be found in the games shop and can be bought with golden horns. Players must gather 14 wooden boards, 11 Helthing rings, 8 Helthing crowns, and 1 golden horn to craft this weapon.

6 Baldr's Blade

  • Rarity Level: Legendary. Baldr's Blade is a lethal legendary sword to have, as it gives the user 177 points toward their power level.
  • Element: Thunder
  • Perks: Utilizing this blade will allow players to deal plenty of thunder damage. The blade has a chance of stunning the target for several seconds after a hit. In addition, with enough mana, the user has access to the Tree of Life skill, which grants temporary healing.
  • How To Acquire: Acquiring this blade will not be easy. Players will need 13 wrought iron pieces, 9 Werewolf fangs, 5 shards of Jarnsaxa's brooch, and 1 golden horn. Jarnsaxa's brooch will only drop after defeating the giant, while wrought iron can be bought at the tinker's shop. Werewolf fangs will drop from Varilfur (Bright Forest), Brennaulfur (Smokey Highlands), and Isulfur (Glacier Peaks).

5 Fornjot's Axe

  • Rarity Level: Legendary. This icy axe gives the user 180 points towards their total power level.
  • Element: Ice
  • Perks: Fornjot's Axe deals cold damage to enemies, which makes it great for use against fire-type creatures.
  • How To Acquire: Players who want to craft this legendary weapon will need to acquire 12 cut stones, 9 unfrozen talismans, 5 pieces of Geirrodr's Jaw, and 1 golden horn. The unfrozen talismans can be found by defeating the unfrozen warriors and shield-maidens on Glacier Peak. Meanwhile, the pieces of Geirrodr's jaw will be a bit more challenging, as players must defeat the giant first.

4 Muspelheim Maul IV

  • Rarity Level: Legendary. This legendary hammer grants the user 184 points towards their power level.
  • Element: Fire
  • Perks: This mighty maul deals fire damage, and can inflict the burn effect on targets. The burn effect has a chance to set the target on fire, dealing damage over time. In addition, using mana players can use the Strike, Fire Trail, and Worlds Ablaze attacks.
  • How To Acquire: Acquiring one of the best fire-type weapons in the game will not be easy. Players will have to have one Muspelheim Maul already at level three in their inventory. Players will also need 15 large bones, 9 segments of Halogi's Horn, and 1 golden horn. Halogi's Horn is an epic item that will only drop after defeating the flaming giant.

3 Sigyn's Blade IV

  • Rarity Level: Legendary. This sword is currently the strongest dark weapon available in-game, as it gives the user 184 points toward their power level.
  • Element: Dark
  • Perks: As Sigyn's Blade deals void damage, this upgrade has an even greater chance to reduce the armor of the target even more. Players will also gain access to a more powerful Tornado attack, as well as Basin Drain, and Twilight Beam.
  • How To Acquire: Players looking to craft this weapon have to gather 12 Dokkalfar orbs, 8 strands of Angrboda's hair, and 1 golden horn. In addition, they must have at least one Sigyn's Blade at level three to apply the upgrade to. Players must defeat Angrboda to claim the strands of hair.

2 Fenrir's Fang

  • Rarity Level: Legendary. This sword gives the user 187 points toward their power level.
  • Element: None
  • Perks: Though Fenrir's Fang does not deal elemental damage, the blade can affect any enemy type. Through the use of mana players will acquire the Crushing Boulder, Smashing Pounce, and Binding Chains attacks.
  • How To Acquire: This weapon is one of the hardest to obtain, due to the recipe being a challenge reward drop. Once players have the recipe, they must gather 19 wrought iron, 15 werewolf fangs, 11 large bones, and 1 golden horn.

1 Jörmungandr's Maw

  • Rarity Level: Legendary. This hammer gives the user 190 points toward their power level.
  • Element: None.
  • Perks: Though Jormungandr’s Maw does not deal elemental damage it can be used against any enemy type, much like Fenrir’s Fang. The hammer also grants players the Whirlwind Tail, Poison Spit, and Crashing Waves abilities.
  • How To Acquire: The recipe for this weapon can be obtained as a challenge reward drop. Once players have the recipe, they must gather 20 wrought iron, 16 large bones, 12 Fossegrim Fumes, and 4 golden horns.
