With the release of the highly-anticipated Triangle Strategy just over a month away, Square Enix has been slowly teasing fans with more about the upcoming strategy game from the team that worked on Octopath Traveler. The iconic JRPG developer has released multiple trailers detailing some of Triangle Strategy's main cast while also peppering in information about the game's various mechanics and systems. Now, the newest trailer takes a look at one of the highest-ranking members of one of the game's three countries, House Wolffort.

When Square-Enix announced that the team behind 2018's widely-acclaimed Octopath Traveler would be creating a tactical RPG for Switch, many fans were quick to draw comparisons to the developer's classic tactical RPG, Final Fantasy Tactics. Triangle Strategy heavily pushes a similar storytelling style to Octopath as the game looks to follow a wide cast of players, pushing the idea that player choice can affect the outcome of the story. Now, as Triangle Strategy begins to reveal more about its cast of characters, the most recent trailer places the spotlight on the Wolffort family's servant, Benedict Pascal.

The newest trailer introduces Benedict as a loyal servant of the Wolffort family, serving the royal bloodline since protagonist Serenoa's father, Symon, was the Lord of House Wolffort. Benedict is portrayed as a stalwart and confident steward whose loyalty is solely devoted to House Wolffort to the point that the character will betray his allies if it ensures the safety of his master. The trailer also teases at Benedict's backstory with a traumatic event lending itself to his marked focus on the protection of Serenoa and House Wolffort as a whole.

The second half fo the trailer also details some gameplay mechanics players can look forward to in Triangle Strategy. Players will be given the opportunity to choose between multiple different strategies when approaching a battle, tasking players with choosing between brute force and finer methods like deception and diplomatic solutions. Triangle Strategy will also feature several ways to strengthen their units, whether by using medals to promote a character's job or upgrading characters' unique weapons and unlocking weapon skills.

While Triangle Strategy looks to be the sole focus of the team known for Octopath Traveler and the Bravely Default series, Team Asano intends to be particularly busy throughout 2022. Producer Tomoya Asano had previously revealed through the Bravely Default Twitter that Team Asano intends to release multiple games this year, with fans speculating that an Octopath Traveler sequel or a new Bravely Default game may be in development. While Team Asano has made no concrete announcements about any of its projects past Triangle Strategy, the strategy game is shaping up to be a stunning tribute to a classic RPG genre.

Triangle Strategy is scheduled to release on March 4 for Nintendo Switch.
