PlayStation users who happen to be fans of Travis Touchdown are in luck: Travis Strikes Again: No More Heroes will launch globally for the PlayStation 4 on October 17, 2019, the same day as the PC version.

The PlayStation 4 edition of the game will include everything from the Nintendo Switch Complete Edition of Travis Strikes Again: No More Heroes. That means it will include all of the downloadable content that the Switch version has, and will also feature some original collaboration t-shirts exclusive to the PS4 version. The publishing rights for the title are split between Marvelous Europe and XSEED Games, who will each publish to different regions.

No More Heroes creator Goichi Suda had also previously mentioned that he was in talks with Marvelous to re-release earlier No More Heroes titles on the Nintendo Switch, and recently revealed that he was also in talks to port those titles over for the PlayStation 4 as well. Prior to Travis Strikes Again, the last No More Heroes series to feature on the PlayStation platform was No More Heroes: Heroes’ Paradise, which was an enhanced port of the 2007 original that released in 2010.

The No More Heroes series got its start back in 2007 on the Nintendo Wii, where the hack-and-slash title was met with a cult following. After Xbox 360 and PS3 ports were made for the game, it got an official sequel in 2010 before the series laid dormant for a good seven years. Two years ago, Travis Strikes Again appeared for the Nintendo Switch, and it delivered an experience that left fans hungry for more.

Those who'd like to see more of the reluctant hero will need to wait until 2020 for the next series entrant. That's when No More Heroes 3 is expected to arrive for the Nintendo Switch, with the developers only releasing a short reveal trailer to give fans a glimpse of what is to come.

Now that a PS4 version of Travis Strikes Again is set to bring more fans into the fold, it looks like Goichi Suda will be kept busy for the foreseeable future. No More Heroes 3 has only been confirmed for the Nintendo Switch for now, so PS4 fans are likely in for another delayed release after the third game arrives for Switch next year.

Travis Strikes Again: No More Heroes is available now for the Nintendo Switch, with the PC and PS4 versions slated to arrive on October 17, 2019.
