Popular Twitch streamer Trainwreck is in the midst of some drama after imploring his followers to create a piece of art for future merchandise. Although the contest seemingly suggested that the art piece that was chosen to be used for merchandise, one artist took issue with Trainwreck's methods.

Trainwreck recently held a community contest to commission an artist to create a design based on one of his concepts. The Twitch streamer wanted an artist to create a front image of a train coming out of a tunnel with the word train underneath, with a similar back image that says wreck and shows the same train crashing in some way. Several artists entered the Trainwreck community contest and a winner has seemingly been chosen, but one of the entrants took to Twitter to share their frustrations.

Twitter user Officialcwby confirmed with several screenshots of a conversation between them and Trainwreck that they entered his community contest. In the messages, Trainwreck stated from the beginning that he needed it by Monday. After confirming some details, the artist got to work on a design and by Monday, they sent Trainwreck a full resolution image and a transparent version, further stating "I can tweak anything if need be." The images included a train crashing like the Call of Duty: Warzone Verdansk train similar to what Trainwreck requested, but the popular Twitch streamer declined to respond to Officialcwby.

Earlier this month, Trainwreck took to Twitter to tell members of the community in an expletive-laden tirade to stop coming at him for not paying artists as he pays the artists he works for well. This is what caused Officialcwby to tell their story about being ghosted by Trainwreck on their birthday after sending the Twitch streamer their contest entry. This initiated a response from Trainwreck who tried to clarify the confusion regarding his community contest.

Alongside the completed front and back images that Officialcwby created, Trainwreck stated that the images were needed by Monday, but only the images that he uses would be paid for. The popular Twitch streamer then reminded the artist that his name is Trainwreck, not Trainwrecks, but some fans pointed out that his full Twitch name is Trainwreckstv. Trainwreck stated definitively to his community and Officialcwby alike that he was not using the artist's images for his merchandise.

Considering his initial statements about artists accusing him of stealing during his recent community contest and his harsh words for Officialcwby, Trainwreck may be more careful with how he does these contests in the future. While it's possible, it's unlikely that Trainwreck is just trying to save money as the popular streamer has given away millions this year. Several Twitter users took Officialcwby's side by stating that the art was commissioned whether it was used or not because of its deadline. Several others meanwhile defended the Twitch streamer because of his specific wording when looking for the art designs.
