As players enter the cave, they will notice the temperature rise to extreme levels. In order to prevent Link from taking damage in this dangerous heat, players should come prepared with a set of Flamebreaker Armor or pack plenty of Fireproof Elixirs.

Players can easily create a Fireproof Elixir by cooking either a Fireproof Lizard or Smotherwing Butterfly along with any monster part. The more fireproof critters used in the recipe, the longer the elixir will last.

At the end of the entrance tunnel, the cave opens up, and players will find a Horriblin waiting for them. After dispatching the cave dweller, players should turn their attention to the breakable rock wall immediately to the right of where they entered. Alternatively, when facing the entrance tunnel, the rock wall will be on the left, as pictured above.

To help them break through, there are several rocks on the ground for players to fuse to their weapons to make hammers, and plenty of rusty weapons hide behind the wall as they progress through it. If players would rather blow up the rock wall, they should only use the Time Bomb Zonai Device, as it will not immediately detonate under the intense heat.

Bomb Flowers will explode as soon as they are exposed to extreme heat. In such locations, players will not be able to use Bomb Flowers in any capacity without them instantly detonating in their hands.

On the other side of all the rocks, a green crystal waits on a pedestal. The goal is to transport the crystal across the lava to the shrine hiding behind a lavafall on the other side.

One option is to use Splash Fruit or Hydrant Zonai Device to create rock platforms and walk across the lava.

A hydrant can be located on the ground beneath the Fire Like in the room, if players do not have any in their inventory.

The other option is to create a vehicle from Zonai Devices in their inventory to carry the crystal across the lava.

If the crystal falls into the lava for any reason, it will not be destroyed, and players can simply remove it with Ultrahand.

As players aim for the lavafall in the back with either method, they should stop on either side and carry the crystal around, as going under the lavafall will knock Link out and send him back to the shore.

Players will find the shrine waiting in a small area behind the lavafall and can interact with its terminal to begin "The Lake Intenoch Cave Crystal" shrine quest. Afterward, they can move the crystal into its position at the shrine and gain access.
