Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1+2 has finally been announced, remastering the original two games in the critically-acclaimed Tony Hawk's Pro Skater franchise for modern platforms. The Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1+2 release date is September 4, but it appears as though fans will be able to try the collection out ahead of time.

It's been confirmed that the Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1+2 pre-order bonus is a demo of the famous Warehouse level. The Warehouse level is the very first level in the original Tony Hawk's Pro Skater, and many fans of the franchise have fond memories of it. Considering this, it makes sense for Activision to release the Warehouse level as a demo, as it encourages players to pre-order the game and may go a long way in convincing them to purchase the final product.

It should be noted that the Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1+2 announcement trailer also mentions the pre-order bonus for those that get the game digitally, so it's possible that the physical version won't get players access to the Warehouse level. Regardless of whether one pre-orders Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1+2 physically or digitally, though, they're looking at spending $39.99, which isn't a bad price at all.

While it's exciting that fans will be able to play the Warehouse level from Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1+2 before launch, an exact release date has yet to be nailed down. However, with Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1+2 launching on September 4, one has to imagine that the Warehouse demo level will be released at some point before then. Perhaps more information will be revealed in a future Summer Game Fest stream, or maybe Activision will make the announcement independently.

There's a great deal of hype surrounding Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1+2, and for good reason. It's been well over a decade since the last high quality Tony Hawk video game has launched, and so many fans are excited at the opportunity to play remastered versions of the classics. The fact that Vicarious Visions is involved in the project is also cause for excitement, as the studio previously worked on Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy to great results.

If Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1+2 is successful, perhaps it will convince Activision to remaster more Tony Hawk video games or maybe even make a brand new Tony Hawk game. Time will tell, but in the meantime, fans can look forward to the launch of Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1+2 in September.

Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1+2 launches on September 4 for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
