With Tony Hawk Pro Skater 1+2 set to launch at the beginning of next month, fans are already likely wondering what fun easter eggs and secrets will pop up in the long-awaited reimagining of the seminal skating franchise. With most Pro Skater entries providing players with some hilarious unlockables and added extras, it's no surprise datamining fans have discovered a new celebrity cameo that will seemingly pop up in the new remake. Be warned, potential spoilers for a secret unlockable character lie ahead.

Discovered by Reddit user Derek420, it seems Tony Hawk Pro Skater mainstay Officer Dick will bear the likeness of none other than iconic comedian Jack Black. For those unaware, Officer Dick is an original character present through the vast majority of the Pro Skater series, debuting back in the first Tony Hawk Pro Skater in 1999.

The cameo leaked after the dataminer unveiled an image of Officer Dick in the game, with the picture showing the iconic actor in the character's police uniform holding a skateboard. To lend credence to its authenticity, the image has since been pulled from Reddit by the Tony Hawk Pro Skater moderators, hinting that the unlockable skater is likely legitimate. Much like his presence in the 2012 HD port of the first game, it seems likely he'll be a secret skater that is unlocked by completing a set challenge or gaining an achievement.

As many of the comedian's biggest fans are likely aware, the cameo itself actually makes a lot of sense. Jack Black currently has a reasonably active gaming YouTube channel called Jablinski Games, where he's played titles such as Red Dead Redemption 2, Doom Eternal, and even Psychonauts 2. Yet, perhaps his biggest attachment to Tony Hawk Pro Skater is how actively he's been involved with the game's titular star himself, making videos with Tony Hawk while playing both the game's fifth entry and the new remake. Clearly, he's now been digitally immortalized for his videos with the iconic skating legend.

The game itself is quickly shaping up to be one of the biggest remakes 2020 has to offer, with Vicarious Visions taking extra time and care to bring back the frantic fun that made the franchise such a huge hit. The game's recent Warehouse demo hints it succeeded, with the title's combination of crazy combos, incredible music, and fast-paced gameplay all resurrecting what made the original games such memorable classics.

Tony Hawk Pro Skater 1 + 2 will be available on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on September 4.
