Following today's reveal that Tony Hawk Pro Skater 1 + 2 would see the first two games in the Pro Skater series remade for modern consoles, it seems players are more excited than ever to return to the series roots. With Tony Hawk Pro Skater 5 launching with a myriad of bugs and issues back in 2015, it appears Vicarious Visions' take on the iconic skating franchise could finally be the major comeback for the series that fans have been begging to see for over a decade.

It seems Microsoft has also revealed some major new details about Tony Hawk Pro Skater 1 + 2 alongside its reveal, with the company revealing both the price it will retail for and what will be included in the game's digital deluxe edition. The listings, which showed up on the site shortly after the game's unveiling, appears to show that the game will fall in line with the price of a number of other significant remakes, retailing for a fairly reasonable $39.99.

For a package containing two fully remade classic games, that's a remarkably cheap price, especially with most releases these days retailing for around $60. The decision sees the game follow the same route of titles like Crash Bandicoot: N'Sane Trilogy, Crash Team Racing: Nitro-Fueled, and Spyro: The Reignited Trilogy, which debuted with a lower price tag to account for the fact that the game was a re-imagining of an already released classic. It seems Tony Hawk Pro Skater 1 + 2 Digital Deluxe Edition will retail for slightly more, with Microsoft retailing the game at $49.99 instead.

According to the description, players who purchase the Digital Deluxe Edition upgrade will receive "‘The Ripper’ skater from Powell-Peralta," as well as "Unique retro outfits for Tony Hawk, Steve Caballero, and Rodney Mullen," and "Unique retro content for the Create-A-Skater mode." Clearly, this edition will be a must-buy for players with a deep love for the Pro Skater series, with retro outfits seemingly referencing some of the older attires available in the original games. Regardless of whether players pre-order the normal or special editions, they will also get access to the Warehouse Demo whenever it becomes available.

The reaction to the game has already been incredibly positive, with fans loving the idea of returning to the franchise's greatest hits with a new coat of paint. With the Tony Hawk series already having such a big place in the hearts of thousands of players, it's set to make a huge comeback when it debuts later this year.

Tony Hawk: Pro Skater 1 + 2 will be available on September 4, for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
