There are few figures in Hollywood as interesting and mysterious as Tommy Wiseau, the director behind the cult classic, yet notoriously awful, movie The Room. Very little is actually known about his past, including where he came from and how he got enough money to fund the production of an entire film. However, we now know a little bit about his future, as the enigmatic figure is now headed to Mixer.

Following news earlier today that Ninja will be exclusively streaming on Mixer, Wiseau posted an update to fans on Twitter that simply read "Mixer" with a link to his new channel. There aren't really any other details about Wiseau's plans for the platform, or what he even plans on streaming, though some fans have already flocked to Mixer to follow the creator. Given the boost to the director's notoriety after James Franco's movie The Disaster Artist, which shed some light on both Wiseau and the creation of The Room, it seems safe to say that Wiseau's first stream on the platform will wind up being popular.

Other celebrities have taken to online platforms to create their own content of late. Jack Black, the famed comedian, musician, and actor, started his own channel on YouTube, dubbed Jablinski Games, and has found explosive success on the platform. It took a while before Jablinski uploaded its first gameplay video, but that didn't stop millions of fans from subscribing right away.

Now, the question is who will be the next major name to migrate to streaming games or content creation. It makes sense for many celebrities to give it a shot, as the platforms allow them to be as creative as they wish with relatively few repercussions if anything flops- not to mention the potential revenue stream if their channel does take off. Plus, Twitch could use something to take heat off the numerous recent controversies on their platform, so it would make sense for them to potentially seek out a big name to stream on their platform.

Tommy Wiseau has been able to avoid answering questions about his past for quite some time now, though it'll be interesting to see if he slips up during one of his streams. There are thousands of people out there that would love to know more about him, though the mystery is, admittedly, part of what makes him so special.
