The final Tomb Raider game in the rebooted trilogy, Shadow of the Tomb Raider, was released less than a week ago, and the game has been receiving positive reviews from fans and critics. However, Lara's voice actress Camilla Luddington says that Shadow of the Tomb Raider may be the last time that she plays the character of Lara Croft.

In the interview below, Luddington explains that she knew from the beginning that Shadow of the Tomb Raider will be the final game in the trilogy that is Lara Croft's origin story. With this in mind, Luddington says that she believes that Shadow of the Tomb Raider may be her last time portraying Lara Croft. Luddington also mentions that Shadow of the Tomb Raider is her personal favorite in the trilogy , and that this game was by far the most challenging for her as an actress mentally and physically.

Luddington does not give any specific reason in the interview for possibly leaving the Tomb Raider series, but she does indicate that she would like to spend some time thinking about her wedding to Matthew Alan and raising her daughter. When asked about possibly playing Lara Croft in a live-action adaptation of the game too, Luddington says that she feels like she has had her part to play for Lara Croft, so it is also highly unlikely.

The future of the Tomb Raider series is uncertain at this point in time, as there has been no indication by the developers that there will be another Tomb Raider game now that this particular trilogy is complete. Hopefully, we will see more Tomb Raider games in the near future, and based on the success of this trilogy, we hope to see the same Lara Croft with the same type of gameplay.

Shadow of the Tomb Raider is now available for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
