There are still several questions about the MCU's future, which extend to Tom Holland's Spider-Man 4. Fortunately, Kevin Feige has provided an update on the wall crawler's return.

Holland's run with the Spider-Man character has been astounding, as Homecoming, Far From Home, and No Way Home scored with the critics and general audiences at the box office. And, given that the much-pirated Spider-Man: No Way Home was as big as Avengers: Infinity War or Endgame, there was never any chance of Holland not getting a fourth main adventure as the character.

MCU spear header Feige recently revealed that not only is Spider-Man 4 (as it were) on the way, but the story is at least partially mapped out. "All I will say is that we have the story. We have big ideas for that, and our writers are just putting pen to paper now," Feige told Entertainment Weekly. Essentially, that means production is in the early stages of being underway, and fans can rest assured that any of the major dangling threads left by No Way Home will be either continued or tied up. It's also nice (and well-deserved) that Spider-Man will finally expand beyond superhero trilogy status.

There are so many different places it can go from No Way Home's conclusion. Furthermore, there's an argument to be made that Peter Parker, the film character, has never been in a more interesting place, even including his "Spider-Man no more" phase in Sam Raimi's Spider-Man 2. Not to mention, the character is expanding in interesting ways outside of Holland's take, so the cinematic translation could easily follow suit. For instance, Amazon is developing a Spider-Man Noir live-action series with the participation of Into the Spider-Verse's Phil Lord and Christopher Miller.

So, even though Feige's been very scant on details for the fourth Spidey film, there are plenty of reasons to believe it will live up to the bar set by No Way Home. Not to mention, whether it's in the fourth Spider-Man, the fifth, or even Avengers: Secret Wars, there's always the potential to bring back not only Andrew Garfield but the notedly willing Tobey Maguire, as well.

In short, audiences will soon be back in their theater seats for Spidey (as well as the chemistry between Holland and Zendaya). It's just not one hundred percent whether that will be in a team-up film, a solo venture, or just what form that solo venture would take.
