With the Uncharted film on its way to theaters soon, Tom Holland, who stars in the film as protagonist Nathan Drake, has begun interviews as part of the film’s press cycle, and pokes fun at the numerous video game adaptations that have come and gone, and ones that he would like to take part in. Films based on video games have garnered a reputation for not being that great, with franchises like Assassin’s Creed and Hitman becoming movies that are perceived as less than stellar compared to the series the films are adapting.

While series like Pokémon and Sonic the Hedgehog have seen a successful transition to film, most people have looked to Uncharted to truly break the video game movie curse. The production has gone through a number of iterations over the years, with filmmakers such as David O. Russell, Dan Trachtenberg, and Travis Knight all slated to be working on the film at some point in development. However, with Venom’s Ruben Fleisher in the directors chair and Tom Holland as Nathan Drake alongside Mark Wahlberg as Victor Sullivan, the film is finally on its way for its February release.

While doing his press tour for the film, Tom Holland spoke with ScreenRant about the process of making Uncharted, and the other video games he played while on set. One of the games he played being Mediatonic’s Fall Guys, which has plenty of celebrity fans including Holland’s MCU co-star Brie Larson. When ScreenRant joked about a possible Fall Guys movie, Holland remarked “Yeah, me and Chris Pratt.”

Pratt, another fellow MCU co-star of Holland, is currently set to reprise his role as Star-Lord in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 with director James Gunn at the helm. Pratt is also recently cast in Illumination’s Mario film as the title character, alongside Charlie Day as Luigi and Ana Taylor-Joy as Princess Peach, in addition to slew of other big name actors rounding out the cast like Jack Black, Keegan-Michael Key and Seth Rogen.

While the prospect of Holland and Pratt starring in a Fall Guys movie is a tad outlandish, it would not be the first time the two shared the screen together, as they both starred in the Disney/Pixar film Onward. Plus, with how versatile of a title Fall Guys is, there’s no saying a film adaptation couldn’t work with the right script.

With several video games movies, it’s no secret how difficult they are to create, with directors like Free Guy’s Shawn Levy, who was also in contention to direct Holland in Uncharted, mentioning how hard the process truly is. That being said, perhaps there may be hope to see Holland throwaway joke about a Fall Guys movie happening in the future.
