The Tokyo Manji Gang is certainly one of the most fascinating parts of the series and holds the show's most iconic characters as well.

Updated on January 31, 2023, by Rei Penber: With the second season of the Tokyo Revengers anime finally having started on the 8th of January 2023, fans are more hyped than ever before for the wonderful show that is Tokyo Revengers. Having been one of the best-selling mangas last year, it’s no surprise that fans have been eagerly awaiting what could easily surpass the first season in terms of story and character development. At the heart of the series, the Tokyo Manji Gang will always be a driving force that elevates the story to surreal levels. As such, Touman is one of the most essential parts of Tokyo Revengers. However, this gang would not be what it is without its cast of fascinating characters with different backgrounds and stories.

16 Haruki

Tokyo Revengers Pah-Chin Haruki Hayashida Timeskip Comparison

Hayashida Haruki, better known by his alias Pah-Chin, is a rather forgettable member of the Tokyo Manji Gang, despite his essential role in its formation. Being one of the core members, he, alongside characters like Mikey and Draken, founded Touman. During his time in the Tokyo Manji Gang, he occupied the role of 3rd Division Captain. However, due to his actions in the battle against Osanai Nobutaka, he spends time in the detention center.

After his release from the center two years later, he joined the gang once again as its 3rd Division Commander under Hanagaki Takemichi. While he isn't always as important to the story, his character is certainly fun to see whenever he shows up.

15 Taiju

Black Dragon 10th Generation

Shiba Taiju was one of Tokyo Revengers’ main antagonists, specifically the main antagonist of the Black Dragons arc. Even though his relationship with his two siblings, Yuzuha and Hakkai, is tense, to say the least, Taiju does love his siblings very much. However, having been too controlling in the past led him to become abusive.

While he was the leader of the 10th Generation Black Dragons, after his defeat, he bettered himself and joined Takemichi when the latter formed the Second Generation Tokyo Manji Gang. In this second-generation gang, he holds the position of 6th Division Captain.

14 Nahoya

Tokyo Revengers Smiley Nahoya Kawata Timeskip Comparison

The eldest of the two Kawata brothers, Kawata Nahoya, also known as Smiley due to his constantly smiling face, held the position of 4th Division Captain in both the first and second generation of the Tokyo Manji Gang.

Before joining the Tokyo Manji Gang and swearing allegiance to Mikey, he and his brother Souya were at the head of the Twins Devils Gang. Hard to read in combat due to his smiling face, he is a strong member of the gang who respects Sano deeply. He showed his strength when he fought and won against a Heavenly King, Kakucho.

13 Souya

The youngest of the two twin Kawata brothers, Kawata Souya, also referred to as Angry or the Crying Blue Ogre, acts as the Vice-Captain of the 4th Division, putting him under his older brother Nahoya’s command. Prior to Touman, he was a member of the Twins Devil Gang. While he has a constant angry face, he is actually a pacifist whose true strength doesn’t show until he starts crying. He, according to Smiley, becomes 100 times stronger when this happens.

This was demonstrated when he defeated both of the Haitani brothers, as well as Mochizuki Kanji and Muto Yasuhiro. Technically, this would make him stronger than his brother, even though, hierarchically, he is lower ranking in the gang.

12 Hanma

Tokyo Revengers Shuji Hanma

Hanma Shuji is another important villain in the Tokyo Revengers story. He is also known as Kisaki’s right-hand man and has assisted him a lot throughout the story. While he has been a part of many gangs, like Valhalla and Moebius, he was also a part of the Tokyo Manji Gang following the events of the Bloody Halloween.

There, he acted as its 6th Division Leader and had countless men under him, which just goes to show his leadership qualities.

11 Kisaki

Tokyo Revengers

Kisaki Tetta was the main antagonist of Tokyo Revengers for quite a few arcs, and most of the story, at that. Being the reason for Hinata’s constant deaths, Takemichi was forced into the past multiple times just to fix all the troubles he has caused.

Revealed to be deeply in love with Hinata ever since they were kids, he eventually meets his fate after being chased by Takemichi and dying in a car accident. Him being a member of the Tokyo Manji Gang is what shaped a lot of the story, and what allowed him to garner so much control in the present time.

10 Hakkai

Hakkai Tokyo Revengers

Shiba Hakkai is the Second Division Vice Captain in both the older and newer generation of the Tokyo Manji Gang. He's always been working under his captain and friend, Takashi Mitsuya.

9 Kazutora

Tokyo Revengers Kazutora Hanemiya

Hanemiya Kazutora is one of the five founding members of Toman and was the former First Division Vice Captain under Keisuke Baji. He plays a major role during the Bloody Halloween arc and acts as its main antagonist. He was the enemy gang Valhalla's Number 3 and had strong feelings of hatred towards Mikey, whom he wanted dead no matter what.

After the events of that arc, he is sentenced to 10 years in a detention center for rehabilitation. In the present, he assists Takemichi on a few occasions, regretting his past actions.

8 Seishu

Inui seishu

Inui Seishu, better known as Inupi, is the former Squad Captain of the 10th generation Black Dragon that was led by Shiba Taiju. Tokyo Revengers Takashi Mitsuya

Takashi Mitsuya is one of the five founding members and the Second Division Captain for both the older and newer generation of the Tokyo Manji Gang. He is one of the Twin Dragons and has a major role in the Black Dragons arc, seeing his close relationship with Shiba Hakkai.

He's a very responsible man, and a loving brother to two younger sisters, Luna and Mana. In the mostly good future where he leaves gang activities behind, he ends up becoming a fashion designer.

6 Senju

Senju (1)

Kawaragi Senju is the former leader of Braham, one of the three deities, as well as the current Fifth Division Captain under Hanagaki Takemichi. She is the only female member of the Tokyo Manji Gang and the most powerful among their ranks, being able to rival Mikey, the former Captain.

She developed a strong friendship with Hanagaki while she was still the leader of Braham and decided to join him after the Battle of the Three Deities, which Braham lost, leading to its inevitable disbandment.

5 Chifuyu

Tokyo Revengers Chifuyu Matsuno

Matsuno Chifuyu is the former First Division Vice Captain of the Tokyo Manji Gang. He served this role first under Keisuke Baji, and then under Hanagaki Takemichi, before becoming the Vice Captain of the gang during its second generation.

He had a very strong relationship with the late Baji, as evident from the fact that he was utterly devastated by his death during the Valhalla arc. Now, he acts as Takemichi's main advisor and supportive hand as they both have complete trust in each other.

4 Baji

Tokyo Revengers Keisuke Baji

Keisuke Baji is one of the five founding members of the original Tokyo Manji Gang and the former First Division leader as well. All this was before his death during the Valhalla arc at his own hands after being fatally wounded by his friend, Kazutora. He was one of the best fighters in the Gang and had quite a close relationship with his Vice Captain, Matsuno Chifuyu.

During the Valhalla arc, he beat up Chifuyu to prove his loyalty to Valhalla, however, this was all an act to stop Kazutora. He ends up committing suicide to stop Mikey from murdering Kazutora.

3 Takemichi

Tokyo Revengers Takemichi Hanagaki

Hanagaki Takemichi is the main character of the Tokyo Revengers series and the First Division Captain in the original Tokyo Manji Gang. Eventually, he becomes its new leader after reviving the gang with the other older members, adding some new ones to the mix.

Takemichi's main goal starts off as wanting to save Tachibana Hinata, but later evolves to wanting to save the members of the Tokyo Manji Gang, most notably, Sano Manjiro, or Mikey. He's willing to go to any lengths to save Mikey, even leaving a seemingly perfect future behind, which only leads to more deaths and despair.

2 Mikey

Tokyo Revengers Manjiro Sano (Mikey)

Mikey, or Sano Manjiro, is the former leader of the Tokyo Manji Gang which he disbanded before it was revived by Hanagaki Takemichi. He is an extremely powerful individual who is often overtaken by his "dark impulses."

These impulses started years ago after the loss of his brother at the hand of Kazutora, albeit by accident. This insanity of his continues to worsen as he loses more people around him. Mikey is also very important to Takemichi as one of his goals is to save him.

1 Draken

Tokyo Revengers Draken Anime Cap

Draken, or Ryuguji Ken, is the former Vice Captain of the First Generation Tokyo Manji Gang. To Mikey, Draken is his closest friend, and this is evident from the way the two interact throughout the series.

In the original Toman, he was the strongest member right after Mikey, and he acted as the voice of reason. It has also been stated that Draken is Mikey's heart. Sadly, he isn't a member of the Second Generation of the gang.
