Tokyo Manji's vice leader may look fierce and intimidating, but there's a lot more to him than meets the eye. Draken isn't just Mikey's right-hand man and muscle-head; he's the typical tough guy with a heart of gold. Behind Draken's ice-cold stare and powerful muscles is the heart of the Tokyo Manji Gang, and without Draken, they would begin to lose sight of what is right and wrong.

Draken is a clear fan favorite in Tokyo Revengers, so it's natural that everyone in the fandom would be curious to know more about him. Here are some trivia facts that not every Tokyo Revengers fan may not know about Toman's vice-leader, Draken.

8 He Only Lets Mikey Call Him "Ken-Chin"

Draken's real/full name is Ken Ryuguji, but most of the cast don't refer to him as that. While he is mostly known as simply "Draken" there is only one person he allows (for the most part) to call him something much cuter.

Draken's childhood friend Mikey has the special privilege of calling the big bad Draken "Ken-Chin". Ever since they were young, Mikey has decided to give his best friend and future right-hand man a special nickname. While Draken still doesn't particularly like it when Mikey calls him this endearing nickname, no one in the world would ever be able to get away with calling Draken that without getting a harsh beating.

7 His Voice Actor Changed From Season 1 To Season 2

Tokyo Revengers Ken Ryuguji (Draken)

In season one of the Tokyo Revengers anime, Draken was voiced by Tatsuhisa Suzuki who is primarily known for his roles as Makoto Tachibana in Free!, Masashi in Gintama, and Takao Kazunari in Kuroko's Basketball. However, Suzuki then went on to announce that he would be taking an indefinite hiatus from all professional activities after the end of the first season.

For the new upcoming season, voice actor, Masaya Fukunishi is filling the role of voicing Draken. While he has had a few supporting roles in Blue Period and Haikyuu, he's a newer, upcoming voice actor and is highly anticipated for taking his first major role. The entire Tokyo Revengers fandom is rooting for him.

6 He Doesn't Get Along With Kazutora

Tokyo Revengers Draken And Kazutora

Draken perhaps had a bad gut feeling about Kazutora ever since the incident with Mikey's older brother, Shinichiro, and had every reason to act on it. Draken dislikes and even goes as far as saying that he fears Kazutora. Mikey may be a bit unhinged at times, but he always manages to stay fiercely loyal to his friends and couldn't bring himself to hate Kazutora after all he had done.

It goes to say that Kazutora's reaction to his childhood trauma with Baji and Shinichiro wasn't handled very well or in a healthy way. Kazutora wrongfully blamed Mikey for all his misfortune and Draken knew this could be dangerous. Perhaps Draken just had a bad feeling about Kazutora from the beginning, but it's likely that a large deal of his anxiety surrounding Kazutora comes from Draken's urge to protect Mikey.

5 His Name Has A Meaningful Translation

Draken's full name doesn't just sound cool, it has a meaning that fits him perfectly as well. "Ken" in Japanese means "hard" or "firm", fitting his tough-guy persona and his unwavering will. His surname can then be separated into three parts: "ryu" and "gu", and "ji".

"Ryu" means dragon in Japanese, referring to the signature dragon tattoo he has on his head. Meanwhile, "gu" and "ji" roughly translate into "shrine," "temple," or "place". While Draken is incredibly powerful like a dragon, he keeps it channeled inside and only unleashes his power when he absolutely needs to.

4 His Special Skill Is Counseling

Tokyo Revengers Draken Brothel

Due to Draken's difficult upbringing, he's gotten rather used to playing the role of a counselor for those around him. At a young age, Draken was taken in by a brothel and eventually called it home. He often helps out around the brothel with housekeeping and of course, is well acquainted with the girls that work there.

While it may be a bit surprising, Draken is a very good listener. Draken is constantly surrounded by young women that presumably have lots of troubles to rant about. Working in a brothel can be tough, and these young ladies are likely to run into difficult customers or even dangerous situations every now and then. Luckily the girls can always count on Draken to listen to their woes and help them out.

3 He Uses A Shampoo Guard When He Bathes

Someone as tough as Draken wouldn't have a fear in the world (aside from Kazutora), right? Apparently getting a bit of shampoo in his eyes is something he fears greatly, or enough to warrant wearing a shampoo guard. Draken does sport a mostly shaven head but still has his long braid to lather up when he's in the bath.

In one episode, it's revealed that Draken resorts to using a shampoo eye shield/visor (something usually only worn by small children) whenever he bathes and is even mocked by Mikey for it. Surely Draken can manage to rinse his hair safely without assistance at his age.

2 Muscle Training Is His Favorite Hobby

It's no surprise that one of Draken's favorite hobbies of all time is muscle training. In order to fight for the good name of Toman and to defend his friends, Draken needs to be as strong as he possibly can. When he's not busy with Toman meetings, helping out at home, or looking after Mikey and making sure he's always got the little flag in his kids' meal, Draken is off working out, building his muscles.

Draken isn't all talk, he definitely has the muscle power to back up his tough guy persona.

1 Hot Curry Is His Favorite Dish

Mikey may be a big fan of children's meals (perhaps just for the little flag) but Draken has a bit more of a mature taste. Draken's favorite dish happens to be spicy curry. While curry is originally a part of South Asian cuisine, it's rather popular in Japan and is a staple dish served by many Japanese diners and restaurants.

There are lots of options of Japanese curry that aren't spicy but of course, the fierce vice leader of the Tokyo Manji Gang would prefer the heat with his curry and rice.
