In a saddening, but unsurprising announcement earlier this year, the physical Tokyo Game Show was canceled. A virtual event was known to still be possible, and was confirmed later on by TGS. Despite being held online, several aspects of the Game Show remain unchanged or only changed slightly.

The online Tokyo Game Show will be held on its own website, which will act as a central hub much like the building that would house the actual show. Various game developers and companies involved with games can be reached via various links from the main website. In this way, interested parties can visit various "booths" at the virtual Game Show.

The main streaming schedule for major devs and companies has now been released, and the four day streaming schedule is known. The presentations are blocked out in one or two hour long segments, with the first day being the shortest. Only three companies will be speaking on 9/24: Microsoft Japan, Square Enix, and Lightning Games. The next day, 9/25, is much more eventful. After a Keynote speech, Sega/Atlus has a spot, which will most likely involve an announcement about Persona 5 Scramble's English localization.

The other major dev with a presentation on the second day is Capcom, which will be showcasing Resident Evil 8. On the third day, the first dev to give a presentation is Spike Chunsoft, developers of the Danganronpa series, as well as several anime inspired games or direct anime-game adaptations.

Following Spike Chunsoft is the first two hour presentation by a dev: Level-5. Now, Level-5 has created some great games in the past, including Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch and the Professor Layton series, so an hour long presentation from it could prove to be very hype. After that, the next dev is GREE, followed by Cygames, makers of Shadowverse.

Following the first part of the Tokyo Game Show Awards, Konami has a presentation, followed by Koei Tecmo. Oddly enough, both companies have another presentation the following day. Although it's not known what could be so big that either company would need two days, there is some speculation. Many believe Konami is about to announce a new Silent Hill game, and this would be the place to do it. The final presentation is a two hour long one by PUBG, though what it could be about is anyone's guess.
