Konami’s upcoming Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Cowabunga Collection has many fans excited to relive some of their favorite TMNT games on modern platforms. Today, Konami has revealed that along with the upcoming standard edition of the game, TMNT: The Cowabunga Collection will also have a limited edition collector’s set filled with plenty of nostalgic memorabilia.At the March 2022 Sony State of Play, Konami showcased TMNT: The Cowabunga Collection, a multi-game compilation containing 13 classic TMNT games from across the franchise’s storied history on classic consoles and arcade systems. Some of the most anticipated games coming to TMNT: The Cowabunga Collection include Turtles in Time for the SNES, The Hyperstone Heist for the Sega Genesis, and the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles game for the NES. The Cowabunga Collection brings many classic games to modern systems and new audiences later this year for $39.99.RELATED: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Movie From Seth Rogan To Drop In 2023For Ninja Turtle fans willing to spend some more cash, Konami has unveiled the TMNT: The Cowabunga Collection Limited Edition Collector’s Set with pre-orders available now. However, the price for this set is on the high side at $149.99, over three times the standard edition’s price. The collector’s set features a variety of TMNT keepsakes and a hefty artbook for fans to dive into. Long-time fans may be pleased to see that the collector’s set also showcases tons of art inspired by the classic Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles comic books. The TMNT: Cowabunga Collection Limited Edition Collector’s Set is coming exclusively to consoles, with PC only receiving a digital release.

Included in the Cowabunga Collection collector’s set is an exclusive physical copy of the game displaying original box art designed by TMNT co-creator Kevin Eastman along with a Turtles in Time cloth poster, also designed by Eastman. Other physical goodies include a multi-layer diorama of the Ninja Turtles, an enamel pin set featuring classic designs of Shredder, Krang and his Technodrome, and the Turtle Blimp and Party Wagon. Rounding out the list are 12 TMNT: Tournament trading cards and a 180-page art book featuring a chapter for each of the 13 games.

With such a long list of items, the Cowabunga Collection’s Limited Edition Collector’s Set should make many long-time Ninja Turtles fans quite happy. Bringing back Kevin Eastman to provide new art is a nice touch and shows dedication from Konami to do right by a franchise that fans hold in high regard. TMNT: The Cowabunga Collection still has no release date; however, with the Cowabunga Collection and TMNT: Shredder’s Revenge on the horizon, it won’t be too long before the Ninja Turtles are back in some video game action.
