Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles has been a pop culture icon ever since the quartet of anthropomorphic turtles first burst onto the scene in the early 1980s. Leonardo, Donatello, Michelangelo, and Raphael have brought their battles with the evil Shredder to a variety of television shows, comic books, and video games over the years. The Turtles remain relevant to this day with Tribute Games' TMNT: Shredder's Revenge releasing last month. Now, the Turtles are partnering with Microsoft for a brand-new giveaway.

Microsoft has gained a reputation over the years since the Xbox's debut for its frequent giveaways of new consoles. Microsoft's gaming brand frequently partners with brands like Taco Bell to feature giveaways of the newest Xbox console. Xbox has also often partnered with games like Diablo and movies like Thor: Love and Thunder to give away breathtaking and stylish custom Xbox consoles. Now, Microsoft's newest Xbox giveaway gives the Xbox Series S a "Turtle Power" twist with a customized console based on the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles' archnemesis, Shredder.

The official Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Twitter announced the giveaway on Tuesday, showing off the custom Xbox Series S. The console features a design with Shredder appearing to break through the walls of the Series S with a 3D version of Shredder's clawed glove emerging from the hardware. The sides and rear also feature multiple decals referencing some of the TMNT series' catchphrases with the iconic "Cowabunga" on the back. The giveaway will run through July 21 with United States residents able to enter the sweepstakes by following the TMNT Twitter account and commenting on the post.

The Turtle-themed giveaway comes just weeks after the iconic group of Turtles received their newest video game outing with TMNT: Shredder's Revenge. The newest Ninja Turtles game saw widespread acclaim from fans and critics with reviews praising the game's adaptation of the franchise's classic beat-em-up formula. The game also features full voice acting with a majority of the cast from the 1980s cartoon reprising their roles in Shredder's Revenge.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles continues to be one of pop culture's most iconic franchises with several projects in the works for the Turtles. Alongside the previously mentioned video game, the Turtles' next movie outing, Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, is set to debut on Netflix next month. A new CGI Ninja Turtles movie is also reportedly in development by Paramount for release in 2023. Xbox's newest giveaway serves as an homage to the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles' roots that would be perfect for any fan of the Turtles.
