If you are a gamer strapped for cash, then I have some really great news for you. Seven new PlayStation 3 titles have been unveiled as carrying the new Greatest Hits banner and, more importantly, carrying a lower price tag.

Now priced at $29.99, gamers who missed out on them will be able to catch up on MAG, Ratchet and Clank Future: A Crack in Time, MotorStorm Pacific Rift, Tekken 6, Demon’s Souls, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, and Call of Duty: World at War. This is certainly a substantial offering from Sony, and includes some great single player experiences as well as games with great multiplayer.

Obviously, the two biggest cash grabs here are the Call of Duty games, considering their ever increasing popularity. With Black Ops a little over a month a way, gamers who might have overlooked Treyarch’s work on the franchise should definitely pick up World at War -- it really is a great game, despite not being "modernized." And it has zombies.

Aside from the two juggernaut titles, Ratchet and Clank delivers a fun platforming experiencing with unique time-bending twists on the genre. MAG has an update on the way that increases the rank cap, revamps the Skill Tree, and will support the recently released Move peripheral. It's a perfect choice for those FPS gamers who might be bored with Halo: Reach’s multiplayer offerings.

I won't go in depth on all of the games here, but each of them scratches a different itch, and they are all worth checking out. Greatest Hits offerings may have become somewhat antiquated, what with used games and rental services like GameFly, but it is comforting to know that, if nothing else, Sony is rewarding games from the past year that were standout titles. Pick any of these games up. It will be worth your money.

Which Greatest Hit title is your personal favorite? Which one is the most enticing to you?
