There is very little more powerful than nostalgia, and that is made clear by the newly announced Titanic: The Game. Created by Spin Master Games, this board game will feature players taking control of the movie's iconic characters to try and evacuate as many passengers off the Titanic as possible before it sinks.

Although Titanic came out 23 years ago now, Spin Master Games seems to think it's still marketable, and it's probably right about that. Titanic: The Game promises to invoke those old memories of watching Titanic through fun and engaging gameplay that fans can experience together.

The ship itself is laid out over 36 separate tiles set up in a 4x9 pattern, and each turn, one of these tiles is flipped over to indicate that it is below water. Players are tasked with rescuing passengers from the Titanic and reenacting scenes of the movie in order to score as many points as possible.

The game is set to be released on August 1st, meaning interested board game enthusiasts don't have long to wait. Though Spin Master Games is most known for family games such as Heads Up, it has also released several complex games like Escape Room: The Game, so there may be some potential for this Titanic game to be more complex than it seems.
