Today, the video game publisher Electronic Arts and developer Respawn Entertainment officially launched Titanfall 2 Ultimate Edition, and in order to celebrate the compendium's release, the companies have put out a trailer detailing its contents. The new version of the mech-based first-person shooter has been described as "the best way to jump into one of the most surprising shooters of 2016," and includes all of the materials found within the Digital Deluxe Edition and more.

As found throughout the course of the trailer below, Titanfall 2 Ultimate Edition also comes with a "jump start pack" that unlocks all of the Pilot classes and Titans from the start, and offers players 500 tokens to unlock further loadouts, cosmetics, and gear, ten double XP tokens, and a custom Warpaint skin for the Underground R-201 Carbine. As far as the aforementioned Digital Deluxe Edition goodies are concerned, fans will also get the Scorch and Ion Prime Titans, a different Warpaint for six Titans, a Deluxe Camo for all Titans, Pilots, and weapons, Deluxe Nose Arts for six Titans, and a Deluxe Callsign.

Without a doubt, the price point of $40 on the PlayStation Store, Xbox Marketplace, and Origin for the Titanfall 2 Ultimate Edition is decidedly the best deal for fans who have yet to pick up the title or for players who want to receive all of the paid post-launch materials in one spot. Those who decided to nab the game and play it since day one have been flush with content themselves, as Respawn Entertainment decided to release free DLC in order to avoid splitting the community, which is also good news for new adopters.

All things considered, gamers getting the Titanfall 2 Ultimate Edition ought to be pleased with their purchase, as well as with the latest update that added a Frontier Defense mode that allows players to band together for a cooperative, wave-based Horde-like experience. Not to mention, with Respawn already working on even more content to come, it looks like Titanfall 2 fans will be doing battle for quite some time.

Titanfall 2 is available now for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
