After launching this past April, the Borderlands off shoot Tiny Tina's Wonderlands has found a ton of success for Gearbox Software. In fact, just this week, Take-Two Interactive revealed during an earnings call that not only is the company pleased with the game's performance, but Wonderlands has become its best new franchise launch in years. With DLC continuing to roll out, Gearbox is hoping to keep players logging in for months to come.

While Wonderlands has been praised by critics and players alike for its fresh take on the usual Borderlands formula as well as the incredibly powerful character creator, it hasn't always been a smooth ride. Many fans have been discussing the quality of life updates they'd like to see eventually added, from a sell all button on Lost Loot, more body types in the character creator, to new filters on the Wonderlands inventory screen. The game has also seen numerous bugs and issues crop up from time to time, including a new issue that will likely leave many fans frustrated.

After initial reports began surfacing online, Gearbox Software has acknowledged a new issue with Tiny Tina's Wonderlands. Following the latest update this week, players have reported that they've lost story progress after loading their character. Not only that, some have even indicated that they've also seen their entire map reset including quests and fast travel unlocks. Outside of that, players still retain their current level and gear.

Unfortunately, Gearbox doesn't have a specific fix or workaround to the issue yet. The company put out a Tweet indicating that it is currently investigating the matter, thanking fans for their patience. The company also requested that anyone who has experienced progression loss to submit a ticket on the 2k support website, as the added details will hopefully lead to a faster discovery of the root cause. Gearbox has been fairly consistent and quick with its updates, so many are hoping that it finds a way to correct this issue sonner than later as well as restore the progress for those impacted.

The timing for this problem comes at an inopportune time as Gearbox has just made a number of announcements to entice players to log in. Earlier today, Wonderlands began a mini-event called Armor Up which gives armor and class mods specific to the player's character an increased chance to drop. Not only that, the second DLC pack from the Wonderlands Season Pass called Glutton's Gamble, which pits players against a Sand Witch known as Imelda. Similar to the first DLC pack, this one adds new loot, challenges, and an evolving end boss each week.

Tiny Tina's Wonderlands is out now for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
