The Borderlands universe has always been filled with wacky characters like Shooty McShootface. And Tiny Tina's Wonderlands is no exception since players will not only encounter over-the-top characters, but they can even customize their own character to look like Shrek.

Moreover, Tiny Tina's Wonderlands features dozens of quests jam-packed with Easter Eggs that will send players on wild adventures. And one such side quest players will come across in the Weepwild Dankness is Little Boy Blues aka "Smurfs Easter Egg."

How to Start Little Boy Blues

Where to Start Little Boy Blues in Tiny Tina's Wonderlands

Players will need to travel to the Dank Encroachment fast travel point to start Little Boy Blues. From the fast travel point, players should make their way past the Vending Machines, where they'll arrive at a large open area with a post with an exclamation point on it. After interacting with the post, players will now be able to start the Little Boy Blues side quest, which is a direct reference to the Smurfs franchise.

Brief Quest Objectives:

  • Talk to Murphetta and Old Murph
  • Defend Camp
  • Check On Murphetta
  • Talk to College Murph
  • Gather Eye of Crab, Gills, and Toenail
  • Use Magic Formula
  • Rescue Murphetta
  • Defeat Garglesnot

Players should come prepared for this quest as they'll need to fight several Badass Goblins and Trolls. Fortunately, players can use SHiFT codes to get powerful loot from the Skeleton Chest.

Getting to Murph Refugee Camp and Speaking to Old Murph

Players should now head towards the right side of the post, where they'll find a long corridor that leads to a previously locked gate. But before arriving at the gate, players will need to fight several Mushroom enemies, some of which cause serious elemental damage.

Once inside Murph Refugee Camp, players need to speak to Old Murph, but as they're talking to him, several Blue Murphs will come out of a portal, forcing the player to help the Red Murphs defend the camp.

Visit College Murph and Prepare Plan to Rescue Murphetta

After defending the camp, players must make their way to the College Murph that's protecting Murphetta, but as the players arrive at the area, Garglesnot snatches Murphetta and dozens of Blue Murphs portal in.

Now the player must help College Murph to gather ingredients to create a potion that'll help them break into Murphsville, where Murphetta is being held hostage.

Gathering Ingredients and Breaking Into Murphsville

The following section of the Little Boy Blues questline involves defeating several Bosses, so players should make sure that their Hero Stats are fully-optimized, or they'll have a difficult time beating them.

For the first ingredient, Eye of Crab, players must defeat a Crab-like boss near College Murph's home. The second boss will drop Gills, but this boss spawns several other Mushrooms to help in the fight, so players should be ready with AOE spells.

The final boss, and the one that drops the Toenail, is heavily armored and requires Poison Damage to defeat. After gathering all three ingredients, players can go to the Murph Forward Camp, where they'll be able to craft the Magic Formula that'll help them enter Murphsville.

Rescuing Murphetta and Defeating Garglesnot

Once inside Murphsville, players will need to open the village gate, so the Red Murphs and Old Murph can enter to rescue Murphetta from the Blue Murphs. Once Murphetta is freed from the cage, Garglesnot will teleport into the area and commence attacking the player.

Garglesnot isn't a difficult boss to beat (especially if the player is using the Clawbringer class). Still, players should be cautious of his Fireball Charge attack as it can easily take down a player's ward. Once defeated, players will need to speak to Murphetta and receive 5044 XP, $8210, and an Epic Rocket Launcher called "Moleman of Grisly Trophies," thus ending the Smurfs Easter Egg quest.

Tiny Tina's Wonderlands is out now for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
