Tiny Tina's Wonderlands is the latest game in the popular Borderlands franchise, and though it is more of a spin-off than a mainline entry in the franchise, it does much to keep the traditional Borderlands atmosphere alive. There are plenty of enemies to shoot and guns to loot in Tiny Tina's Wonderlands. Moreover, the game has a lot of easter eggs for fans to discover. Borderlands has often been a franchise that includes plenty of references to other popular media, and from weapons to quests to parody characters, Tiny Tina's Wonderlands is no different.

Many of the easter eggs to be found so far in Tiny Tina's Wonderlands have been related to quests, such as the "Little Boy Blues" quest that leads to the player encountering a Smurfs easter egg. The same is true for The Witcher Easter egg in Tiny Tina's Wonderlands, which is located through a questline given to the player. Considering Tiny Tina's Wonderlands is based on a fantasy setting and The Witcher is one of the most popular modern fantasy IPs, it isn't surprising to see The Witcher appear in the game, and there are a couple of quests during which the player can encounter some funny Witcher references.

To begin the official Witcher quest in Tiny Tina's Wonderlands, players must find "The Ditcher" quest which unlocks after completing "Son of a Witch." Upon traveling to Sunfang Oasis to begin "The Ditcher" quest, the player will be accosted by a "Mysterious Vagabond," who tells the player that they have doomed the world and its inhabitants.

Upon further investigation, the vagabond reveals themselves as "Geritt of Trivia." Described as a "hunter of monsters, slayer of daemons... kisser of witches," it's hard not to see the resemblance between the character in Tiny Tina's Wonderlands and The Witcher protagonist Geralt of Rivia. However, there is one major difference between the two characters that keen-eyed Witcher fans may notice, as Geritt of Trivia believes that "walking is for peasants," after which they teleport away from the player. Anyone familiar with Geralt of Rivia knows his hatred for portals.

Geritt of Trivia also seems less likable than his counterpart in The Witcher games, as the Tiny Tina's Wonderlands iteration of the character makes him out to be more pompous, regaling the player with his tales of monster slaying and how bards sing of his exploits. There's also a nod to a well-known scene in The Witcher 3 involving Geralt, the sorceress Yennefer, and a unicorn, though fans might be glad that scene isn't recreated in Tiny Tina's Wonderlands.

Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
