Playstyle

The Brr-Zerker's playstyle is all about entering rages and devastating foes at close range, using melee and ice elemental attacks to wreak havoc on their foes. Their class feat causes them to enter a rage whenever they use an action skill, causing them to deal additional ice elemental damage for a short time. A number of their skills are built around extending rage, adding additional benefits to rage, and keeping them alive to carry on swinging.

Action Skills

The Brr-Zerker has access to two different action skills. The first of these is known as "Dreadwind," and allows them to perform an extended spinning attack with their axe that deals melee damage to all foes around them, and increases their movement speed while active. It also makes the user immune to slow effects for the duration.

The Brr-Zerker's second action skill is known as "Feral Surge" and allows players to launch themselves at nearby foes in a jumping slam attack that deals AoE frost damage. Enemies below a certain health percentage will be killed instantly by this, resetting the skill cooldown. This makes it possible to potentially chain multiple feral surges in quick succession, launching the Brr-Zerker between enemies and refreshing their rage duration.

Skills

Ancestral Frost (Tier 1): Increases frost damage, which is highly useful for the Brr-Zerker, who is excellent at dealing frost damage via their rage and action skills.

Savagery (Tier 1): This increases melee damage and the duration of the Brr-Zerker's rage, making it a must-have for players wishing to make the most of the Brr-Zerker's powerful rage buffing skills.

Unyielding (Tier 1): This allows the Brr-Zerker to regenerate missing health over time, which is excellent for improving survivability by allowing the Brr-Zerker to restore their health in the heat of battle, especially when used in conjunction with a strong ward.

Ice Breaker (Tier 2): This skill increases the damage the Brr-Zerker deals to slowed enemies, with the damage increasing further as the enemy draws closer to becoming completely frozen. Since the Brr-Zerker has a myriad of ways to inflict huge amounts of ice damage and thus inflict slow, this skill is a must-have for taking full advantage.

The Old Ways (Tier 2): This skill increases the Brr-Zerker's melee damage and damage reduction when they are close to enemies, encouraging them to fight at melee range. Since their action skills, class feat, and several of their class skills are built around engaging foes in melee range, this skill is highly useful for improving survivability and damage output.

Instinct (Tier 2): This skill increases weapon swap and reload speed, with the bonus doubling while enraged. This skill is useful for rapidly cycling between weapons during combat, ensuring the Brr-Zerker always has access to the best weapon for the job. The enhanced reload speed is especially useful for weapons with typically slow reload speeds, like shotguns and launchers, making them much easier to use consistently.

Cold Snap (Tier 3): This skill improves the Brr-Zerker's movement speed and the efficiency of frost, allowing them to speed across the battlefield and rapidly inflict slow and freeze effects on foes. The benefits of this skill double while enraged, making the skill all the more dangerous. It synergizes especially well with Feral Surge, as Feral Surge deals ice damage while also triggering rage in the same action.

Unarmored Defense (Tier 3): This skill has the interesting effect of halving the player's ward capacity and adding triple the amount lost to the player's health bar. This essentially increases the player's health at the expense of their ward, but since their health can regenerate with help from the unyielding skill this becomes a very potent means of increasing the player's health bar.

Blood Frenzy (Tier 3): This is a kill skill that extends the duration of rage and restores health whenever the player kills an enemy, making it a must-have to make the most of the rage feat.

Ancient Fury (Tier 4): This skill increases the Brr-Zerker's maximum health and the area of their AoE skills, allowing them to last longer and strike a greater area during combat.

Relentless Rage (Tier 4): This skill allows the Brr-Zerker to extend their down timer while in "fight for your life" mode by dealing damage, and triggers their rage when they revive from getting a kill in that mode. As another means of activating rage and an excellent last resort in the event the Brr-Zerker goes down, this skill is an excellent choice for any build.

Blast Chill (Tier 5): This skill adds a chance for the Brr-Zerker's melee attacks to cause a frost nova, dealing AoE frost damage. This skill pairs excellently with Ancient Fury as a means of amplifying the damage and range of the Brr-Zerker when fighting in melee.

Iron Squall (Tier 5): This skill increases the melee attack speed and fire rate of the Brr-Zerker, with these effects doubling while enraged. This allows the Brr-Zerker to deal out damage at astounding rates, greatly amplifying their capabilities.

Blood of the Fallen (Tier 6): This powerful capstone skill reduces the cooldown time of the user's action skill whenever they kill an enemy, or extends its duration if the skill is currently active. This can be used alongside dreadwind to extend the duration of the spinning attack, and could even be used with multiclass action skills such as the Graveborn's "Reaper of Bones" to extend the duration of the buff.
