One of the backbones of the Borderlands series has been the massive number of weapons to earn, all from different manufacturers. The manufacturers help give the weapons unique twists to differentiate them and give players the opportunity to find guns that fit their playstyle. This is going to continue inside of Tiny Tina's Wonderlands, but the various weapons manufacturers will be getting a fantasy twist to fit the game's setting.

Self-described "Borderlands content creator" JoltzDude139 shared new information about Tiny Tina's Wonderlands and its manufacturers' name changes. He credited the information to the upcoming Bunkers & Badasses board game, Borderlands' version of Dungeons and Dragons. Joltz confirmed eight of Borderlands' various weapon manufacturers are set to be featured inside of Wonderlands with a fantasy twist to the names.

The Wonderlands' weapons manufacturers include Hyperion, Dahl, Torgue, Jakobs, Maliwan, Tediore, COV, and Vladof. Seven of the manufacturers are set to be renamed as part of the game, all of which are simply fantasy-inspired twists on the name or reflect the function of said maker's weapons. Torgue, however, will be the only one not to get a fantasy-themed rebrand for Wonderlands.

As mentioned above, weapon identity and variety is an important part of Borderlands' loot system which helped distinguish the game's various weapon makers. Vladof weapons, for example, featured an alternate firing mode to give the weapon extra punch, while Jakobs weapons could be fired as fast as players could pull the trigger. This will continue to be the case inside Wonderlands, as the weapon functions will be the same as they are in Borderlands 3.

The weapons will be given fantasy makeovers, as well, to help them fit better inside of Tiny Tina's role-playing adventure. This includes new physical designs for the weapons along with magic-inspired alternate modes created for several weapons. Gearbox also confirmed melee weapons will be featured in the game for players to sink their teeth into.

Tiny Tina's Wonderlands continues the tabletop adventure the young explosives expert began in the Borderlands 2 expansion, Tiny Tina's Assault on Dragon Keep. Players will join two new characters, voiced by Andy Samberg and Wanda Sykes, who are playing a game of Bunkers and Badasses with Tiny Tina, voiced by a returning Ashly Burch, as a much needed escape following the events of Borderlands 3. Players are tasked with stopping the Dragon Lord, voiced by Will Arnett, who has risen to fill the void left after the fall of the Handsome Sorcerer.

Tiny Tina's Wonderlands is scheduled to release on March 25, 2022, on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
