Many players seemed surprised by the quality of Tiny Tina's Wonderlands when it came out last month. It was not marketed as the next big game in the Borderlands franchise, but the overall critical reception is similar to the rest of the series. Tiny Tina's Wonderlands can be considered a standalone expansion to Borderlands 3, but it adds many new features to give users a fresh experience.

Tiny Tina's Wonderlands fully embraces the RPG genre and its tropes. Players can cast various spells that can deal damage, heal the user, or be helpful for crowd control, and it even has an overworld, complete with a random encounter system when walking in tall grass. Borderlands 2 DLC Tiny Tina's Assault on Dragon Keep referenced a number of other games, and Tiny Tina's Wonderlands is no different. Now, players have found a reference to the illusory walls found in multiple FromSoftware games.

Mike Mahardy from Polygon discovers a hidden wall at the bottom of a cathedral in Tiny Tina's Wonderlands reminiscent of the ones found in Elden Ring. He comes across a melee prompt next to the wall, which causes the wall to disappear, revealing a Lucky Dice. Several Lucky Dice are scattered all over the world, and they grant loot depending upon the number rolled by the user. Players can find 20 Lucky Dice in Brighthoof alone, which acts as the game’s central hub.

It looks like hidden walls are far more apparent in Tiny Tina's Wonderlands, as players can also hear a faint sound coming from behind the wall. Similar hidden walls in FromSoftware games usually reveal a secret passage that leads to valuable items, shortcuts, or different parts of the level. Elden Ring probably has more hidden walls than all the other games, and there are entire levels designed around this mechanic. The most well-known hidden wall in Elden Ring required players to hit it 50 times before disappearing, but that seems to be a development oversight, and it doesn’t seem to hold any deep secrets.

Tiny Tina's Wonderlands is filled with references to several other RPGs, including The Witcher series. One such quest, known as “The Ditcher,” involves players going on a journey with Gerritt of Trivia to kill the mortal body of an evil spirit. Tiny Tina's Wonderlands also references Doom and Indiana Jones, and players are bound to discover more Easter eggs in the coming weeks as they spend more time with the game.

Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
