Nintendo released the Switch back in 2017, and since then it has become one of the best-selling consoles on the market. With so many fans of the device mixing handheld gaming with TV play, it's no wonder that gamers continue to show their love of the console through custom Switch designs. Recently, one fan decided to revamp their Switch dock with a Witcher theme.

In a recent post on Reddit, a Witcher fan known as Brykels unveiled his custom Switch dock design. Featuring decals based on The Witcher, the creator managed to design a look that blended seamlessly with the normal Switch logo. Positioned on both sides of the dock, Brykels included the artwork of two wolves. Bearing their sharp teeth, the wolves are an homage to the Gwynbleidd, a name given to Geralt in the Witcher games. Beyond these references to the series, perhaps the best part of the design is the creator's clever play on words for the name of their custom dock. Just below the Nintendo Switch logo, they added the title "The Switcher."

For those wondering how "The Switcher" was made, Brykels revealed that they made the decals at work using a vinyl cutter. According to the creator, the process of applying the decals was similar to applying a "very small car decal." They suggested that fans that want to create similar decals for their docks should find a local print shop to help make the decals.

It's exciting to see fans display their passion for The Witcher series. With such a large world teeming with different places and people to discover, there seems to be no shortage of material for players to express their creativity. While the community often showcases detailed cosplays of characters from The Witcher 3, Brykels' offers fans a different look at the series with his design for the custom dock.

Hopefully, this finely crafted design will prompt Nintendo to offer more themed docks for fans to purchase. While players can buy themed controllers such as the Skyward Sword Joy-Cons separately, it seems that Nintendo only offers the basic version of the Switch dock for purchase. The company does provide some visually appealing dock designs based on games such as Pokemon, but these are only available as part of console bundles. While not everyone places their Switch out in the open, designs by fans such as Brykels show that some gamers want to personalize their console's dock for others to admire.

With this project completed, it will be interesting to see what Brykels decides to design next. Perhaps they will continue the Witcher theme and make some custom Joy-Cons based on the series. Luckily, Brykels can play the game that the dock was based on while they decide what to do next, since CD Projekt had The Witcher 3 ported to the Switch a few years ago.

The Witcher 3 is available now on PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
