Netflix's The Witcher has been an unabashed success for the streaming service that continues to have incredible legs online. As season two prepares to introduce new characters into The Witcher's universe, it seems Ciri is also going to be getting a lot of love based on a picture posted to Instagram by returning actress Freya Allan earlier today.

The photo, simply featuring a prop sword in a car seat labeled "diva," is not inherently provocative to those unfamiliar with the world created by Polish author Andrzej Sapkowski or its adaptations in video games by CD Projekt Red. However, die-hard fans of The Witcher in all its forms quickly noticed the implication that Ciri may be using the weapon to train with Henry Cavill's Geralt of Rivia in a fortification called Kaer Morhen — as the characters do in CD Projekt Red's The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.

Kaer Morhen is a mountain stronghold where witchers (as a society of monster hunters) were at one point widely trained that is still used by figures like Geralt's mentor Vesemir, who will soon be receiving a Netflix movie called The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf. Because the sword prop photo was uploaded to Allan's Instagram story it has since been made unavailable to see, but luckily the image was preserved on the r/witcher subreddit by user Psycho__Gamer.

By all accounts, Netflix's popular fantasy adaptation is gearing up to lean heavily into fan service through the potential inclusion of recognizable things in The Witcher's extended canon like Leshens. It would make sense for the producers to include something as pivotal to Geralt and Ciri's relationship as Kaer Morhen while they are at it.

No doubt they will be able to do such a location justice given the second season will be filming all across Europe. Scotland, England, the Czech Republic, and Slovakia are among The Witcher's filming locations, so there are bound to be plenty of castles built into mountains for Cavill and Allan to gaze upon for some killer trailer shots.

Should the show take its characters to Kaer Morhen, plenty of opportunities will also present themselves to introduce more witchers like Eskel and Lamber into the series and further build its richly storied world. Overall it sounds like a win-win for the crew and fans alike, so it's lucky Allan gave the Internet a teaser to get excited about.

The Witcher season 2 premieres in 2021.
