It has been a couple of years ever since the giant streaming platform Netflix revealed that The Witcher series will be adapted into a TV show. Several months ago, Netflix finally confirmed some of the actors that would comprise the cast of the upcoming TV series with Man of Steel actor Henry Cavill leading the pack as Geralt of Rivia. Now, a leaked photo was discovered online that shows a shot of the actor in action.

Unfortunately, the photo was taken high above the ground, which makes it difficult to see Cavill in his Witcher outfit. It was confirmed that the photo was taken last Saturday from the highest point of the Spanish island La Palma, where the show is currently filming, and is set to move to the northern part of the island where the rest of the shoot will take place.

Although the image makes it difficult to see what Cavill looks like in full costume, Netflix previously released a screen test showing the actor in costume and makeup. The preview was received with mixed reception given that some fans were not happy that Geralt was portrayed without the iconic white stubble as seen in the video games. Nonetheless, given the way the leaked image was taken, it doesn't really confirm whether Netflix decided to give Geralt the facial hair similar to his video game counterpart.

As of the moment, Netflix is still yet to officially reveal the air date of the upcoming TV adaptation of The Witcher. So far, showrunner Lauren S. Hissrich only revealed a few details last year.

According to Hissrich, the first season of the series will be comprised of eight episodes, and the earliest fans would be able to see it is probably by 2020. However, given the leaked image that recently surfaced, it is not unlikely that more leaked images of Netflix's The Witcher series will pop out in the coming weeks. What's more is that Netflix could even release official photos or even a debut trailer soon.

Netflix's The Witcher series has yet to announce an official air date.
