The Witcher universe is full of beloved characters like Yennefer and Ciri, but none of them surpass Geralt of Rivia in terms of popularity. Recently, a fan of the white-haired protagonist of The Witcher franchise used an AI to generate a number of unique scenarios for the monster slayer.
Geralt of Rivia’s usual activities involve fighting, playing Gwent, and having some flings with various sorceresses. With the games, the Netflix series, and the novels that they pull from being set within a fantasy world, gamers never get to see what Geralt would look like in the present day. While players could use a character creator to add Geralt to a modern title, it is not quite the same, though thankfully one fan has managed to pull off the concept using an AI.
Instead of showing Geralt enjoying some TV, video games, or other day-to-day activities, Reddit user Ravenholic thought of the strangest possible situations for Geralt to be in. One of the highlights is the first batch of images provided, as it sees Geralt thrust into a McDonald’s. While it is up for interpretation whether Geralt is there to order a McFlurry or a Big Mac, it is hilarious to see him waiting in line and standing near a table. However, this was only the tip of the iceberg.
Another batch of AI photos looked at Geralt partaking in a heavy metal concert, which is quite different from the plays and musical performances in his world. In all th images, Geralt is performing on stage instead of sitting in the crowd and listening to the songs, with the Witcher clearly taking inspiration from his close friend Dandelion. Smoke can be seen around Geralt in a few of the images, with various colors lighting up the background as he holds either a microphone or guitar in his hands. Given his many adventures, he would surely have plenty of material for his songs.
While Ravenholic also includes some intriguing images of Geralt driving a car and riding in a metro station, the batch of AI-generated photos showing him inside a grocery store is a show stealer. Seeing Geralt battle for savings instead of fighting creatures like Trolls is an interesting change, and it is fun to see him walking through the aisles of a store doing such a mundane task. With one of the images even showing him push a cart, there is plenty to appreciate about these collages.
This is just the latest example of gamers having a good time with the DALL-E Mini image generator, as some have used it to combine Metal Gear and Red Dead or insert the Gigachad into Elden Ring. For fans of The Witcher, there will surely be many more odd situations to add Geralt to for those who want to continue the trend.
